I don't think it is the CP filers' fault.
...
But, I agree that the requests by the original poster should not be a part of IV's letter campaign.
Everything else will then just follow...
And hopefully no more waiting for mid of the month bulletin updates :-) and years and years of restricted choices due to ongoing GC...
But again.. its we who made these choices :-)

enggr ran away. He faked his experience(which most of the people do, I think to get GC) and tried to get EB2. Good and Inteligent IO catched it and sent RFE. Ran away for life.

Happy New Year Guys
I have quick question. Please comment on this
Can anyone accept payments for expenses (reimbursement) from other than your employer (payroll & H-1b holding company). This could be accept such payments for expenses (reimbursement) directly from middle man company or client ?
Please respond

Another news making. Advice to all of Youngster Indians and Indians here by the India's outsourcing chop shop IT messihah Infosys Chief.
Don't look at IT industry as means to settle abroad: Narayana Murthy - The Economic Times (http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/ites/Dont-look-at-IT-industry-as-means-to-settle-abroad-Murthy/articleshow/6815589.cms)
"This time you have a great opportunity to consolidate and by working in India, by becoming a good quality professional you will sustain the advantage we have created and will make growth in India a permanent rather than a temporary feature."
Guys, wakeup! He isn't telling anything wrong - just a different opinion, very valid for a great percentage of Indians - not everyone can/is going to land in US and wait eternally for GC? and nothing wrong in what he is saying - to go for a better long term India than a spurt of growth. Why ridicule the other guy for giving a genuine advice to youngsters - how many of us haven't almost given up on our careers just for the same of EB GC? Are we just afraid of losing out to our brothers in India in future, rather than them joining our batch in the eternal wait? If we want to make US our home, at least we should start respecting another person's right to his opinion, even if we disagree. Why would it be called a gimmick?! There is no other way - if its not India, it will be China, Philippines etc. Look at the way the general product industry went? The same will happen unless there are restrictive trade policy - which, not only would be against the "US" principals of free trade, but would also automatically be harmful for the US economy.
I personally don't see anything wrong in the article. He puts forth the right things that can be done to improve the life of Indian generations - now and for future. And if that happens, there would be a benefit for us in particular, and US economy and US jobs in general.

[QUOTE=paskal]people,
Paskal - The children of legal immigration applicants were specifically covered in the Child Status Protection Act passed earlier in this decade. They are now allowed to immigrate with their parents even if they turn 21 during the middle of the process, a key change designed to ensure that those here for years waiting on green cards could still benefit. There were other important benefits in this bill. read from the bottom up...
Yes, there is the child status protection act but if you are waiting for labor certification this act does NOTHING to protect a child from aging out at 21. These children who have slipped through the net have NO path to residency if they have taken the trouble and are paying the tuition fees to stay in F1 status and therefore cannot benefit from the DREAM act.

Nah, I don't think so. Not a good article.
1. His salary CAN be raised.
2. His wife CAN work, as article mentions that he applied for GC in 2004
3. I never heard about 1 million - I guess we were talking about 140000 unused visas right? Where this 1 million came from?
4. If the company is bought - one doesn't generally reapply for GC.
Even little lies don't serve a good cause as this article can be easily discredited.
you are assuming he has applied for 485. If he has not, (ie. started labor in 2004) then until atleast July he would be in the same boat. If his LC is still in BEC (remember 30K are still stuck there); then all of this applies to him even after July VB fiasco!

Initially these facilities not provided to CP filers because it used be fast in comparison of 485 filers but now due to this retrogression CP filers are also waiting in queue with 485 filers and not even getting any reliefe I would say they are in very bad situation compare to 485 filers.

Finally something concrete: :D
Secretary Chertoff Advises of Changes in FBI Name Check Clearance Process
AILA InfoNet Doc. No. 07113061, Nov 30, 2007
In a meeting with AILA and other organizations, DHS Secretary Chertoff indicated that USCIS and the FBI are changing parts of the name check process, with the expected result that a large proportion of the backlog should be cleared within six months. The changes are consistent with Secretary Chertoff's risk management approach. The Secretary hopes that, in addition to clearing the backlog, a large percentage of the kinds of applications and situations that have previously been caught in name check delays will, in the future, be cleared quickly. However, he cautions that some checks still will be delayed by investigations, but that that number should represent a small proportion of the numbers previously delayed.

I agree with you completely; I will never travel through frankfurt or any german airport again or any german airline. I think they see indians are sticklers for procedure/afraid lets milk them for some visa money. All we will be doing is get off one airline and switch to other one. Probably that takes like 2 hours within the terminal and for that you have to fill in a paper work, money and spend more time then that gab. This is just out right harrassment. Let them rot in hell .
Transit visa is the biggest fraud ever on the face of us. As a principle I NEVER traveled on Transit visa after it came in to existence.
It's absolutely ridiculous to charge $$ for a visa where all you are going to do is take a dump in their airport..:mad::mad:
Indians should not patronize airlines demanding transit visa. atleast people who need transit visa should not fly..

guys,
OH Law firm did post the reliable and credible information from Chaerlie Openheim (VB in charge from state Dept) and his predictions for Oct 2007 VB are similar to the January 2007 VB.
Nothing new about this, lot of websites already published this information.

I dont think so. I believe that EB3 I would get the bare minimum they should get in a year if not more.
I am not tracking approvals rate as such. But if, CIS hasn't used as many numbers have DOS reported, then as Ron suggested, dates will move forward for EB3 Ind.
1) Ron did not say that very few EB3-Ind approvals.
2) Why should EB3-Ind get less approvals?
3) If USCIS approved less, why did DOS state that visas are used up already? that is the point here
4) Is there any discrepancy between USCIS and DOS??
5) Is this something Immigration community can look into?
