I have a question on a similer subject, but not exactly labour sub
In my case my previous company filed my labour, i got it approved, then i got my 140 approved too. But i had to leave the company (I could have stayed for the GC but had to leave- before leaving that company i worked in their india office for 2 years). Then they used my approved labour for another employee.
I have joined another company and back in the US now,i understand that the labour is not for me, i have to go for the labour again, but is it possible to use my previous PD.

Sure that is a great idea. As i said before (I think i was responding to you post in another thread) a paid subscription for posting messages on this forum is agreat idea and background checks wow that is a new one. How about a criminal background check like they do for jobs in financial sectors. Great idea but please remeber this will have to be a requirement which wil have to be implemented for each and every member of this forum and yes that includes background check on you yourselves my friend TonyHK. He/she either decides that this is not worth it and takes an out or is coerced by you so called senior members in such a way that their will is broken and they are just plain scared (YES SCARED !!).
Now coming to my post. There is nothing wrong in what i said. I asked for discussion to an idea. This is just like all the other guys and gals before me to tried the same. The only difference is that i stand by my comment and i do not abuse you guys back because i reply back to every argument of yours (No matter how stupid/illogical/abusive) with valid arguments. Now you guys do not know how to deal with that and the only way to respind is to answer back with strong arm tactics.
But guys the answer is really simple. Answer back with logical arguments and if you do not have any more logical arguments please rethink about the arguments (Do brainstorming and come up with one argument). Do not spend your valuable time working out HOW TO DISCREDIT PLAINSPEAK AND GET HIM (I am a man for you sake) OUT OF THE FORUM. Instead think about a logical argument to my post and convince me. If these tougher H1B rules are being targeted towards sending H1B out of the country, then these are the ways I could think that they will impact
-- Increase employment chances for those unemployed if many h1B folks are sent back being rejected - Marginal positive impact as its still upto the employer to pick an appropriate resource against existing H1B candidate
-- Decrease inflow of money from h1B apps and subsequent renewals/GC process related fees -- Cons
-- Lesser work for lawyers and tax consultants -- Cons
-- Lesser or meagre tax income from those trickle of H1B who will remain still
-- Heavy economic impact on sales front to name a few - housing rentals downfalls/car rentals companies going bankrupt or closures and those corresponding resources going out of work and become unemployed.
-- Majorly technical expertise impact - braindrain which was happening due to economy downfall and GC process delays. It will only get more worse for US aiming to be top in technological front in terms of IT.
As somebody pointed out if AILA is working to get this memo being stopped then we will get some relief, else we are doomed.
Maybe I am wrong on certain points, but there are heavier repercussions at the economic front if this is being actioned.

Hi,
Mine and my spouse I-485 has been current for over two months, We are on EB1 and our I485 receipt notice date was may 8 2007. The center is currently processing aug 2007 applications. My lawyer sent an inquiry 60 days ago and there has been no response from USCIS.
Please advice what i could do to find out why my processing has been delayed.

You need not give up your American Dream. Once you get your Canadian Citizenship, you can work in US indefinetly with TN visa.

I know that, I was part of it. Lawsuit will require more than that amount if it gets protracted. Keeping the money angle apart, how many are ready to put their names on the plaintiff list?
We (MI chapter) tried to get two members who were impacted to participate in a lawsuit filed by another organization. It was free for them, they didn't have to pay a dime. Guess what, both of them bailed out at the last moment.
I'm not discouraging anyone here. Someone please conduct a poll on contribution pledges, and active participation. Then we will get an approximate understanding of how much we can raise, and how many are willing to have their name on the the lawsuit.
Show me the money!
But we also have members making $30K fundraising effort successful in 7 days! Hence I believe if the IV core decides to explore the possibility of a lawsuit, we can raise enough money to hire an attorney for that.

Does anybody know if they rejected all other worker's applocation who filed in June or rejected only who filed on or after June 5, 2007...
According to the AILA, approximately 40,000 visas remain in all employment-based categories, other than EW, for FY2007, according to its sources, and that the USCIS has far more than 40,000 adjustment applications in the backlog queue that are ready for approval, not to mention the additional numbers which will be consumed in concular immigrant visa processing. It is thus possible that the cap may reach within a short period in July, even though no one can predict it until after July 2, 2007. The USCIS at this time does not have any policy announced with reference to July 2007 I-485 filings which are filed after certain date in July when the total number is exhausted.
