1 - if u have any new h1 approval notice after you came to US , then yr i-94 number will be same in approval notice , normally the last i94 and recent aproval notice 194 matches , u can cross check from there

I am posting this on my friend's behalf. Here's his situation:
a) He's on H1
b) Applied for 485 / 765 / 131 through his employer.
c) Still on H1; EAD & AP approved.
d) Priority date no longer current for 485
e) He gets married.
f) Wife comes to US on H-4.
g) He's interested in switching jobs so that he can move on to new company and utilize his EAD, but since his wife is here on H4 - she would lose status.
h) Another thing is, she is also interested in working but can't do that on H-4.
Question: Is it possible to add her name as a dependent on his existing 485 & apply for her 765 & 131 (EAD / AP), even if his PD is not current? I've heard that some lawyers can file petition; but they charge hefty amount. But I've also heard that PD needs to be current in order to add his spouse's name as a dependent to 485 / 765 / 131.
Please let me know if it's possible to add the dependent regardless of PD being current or not.

I was on I-485 status on my EB3 application working on EAD. My I140 for Eb2 application got approved today while also requesting porting of priority date.
I believe USCIS would have automatically switched the 485 application to use the new EB2 I-140 instead of old EB3-I140
Now my question I am ready to renew my EAD. I wanted if there will be any problem with my EAD application since it is now transfered to an Eb2 position.
My pririty date is still not current....

My answer might be a little too pessimistic but I actually filed an appeal for a denied LC in Sep 2006. and as of today I still haven't heard from them. we tried calling and emailing them but they keep asking us to wait and they will get to it.

Go online and file AR11 right away, by giving out your pending case numbers you can update the address. After an hour or so, call USCIS customer service and verify whether the address has updated or not; also ask them to resend the card to your new address. You will receive a address change confirmation letter at your new address.
I went online to change address.

I tried calling customerservice but I get this message that CSR work only between 8-6 Mon-Fri and is asking me to call back later though I called at 10am.

....and I understand that. I would be pissed off too if my priority date was earlier and my status was still pending. I actually believe that this is a fight for all of us and that is one of the reasons, I have contributed before and will continue to contribute to IV. This does not change the fact that I am in a messy situation. I posted to get some advise not to antagonize people.

Gator, I wish I could answer that part.While I was doing research on AVR on this forum and other Google results, I think I did read somewhere that using AVR might affect adversly on AP application.
You know, 1 thing I did b4 going out was to go on CBP official website, went to Ask a Question and asked my question. I got reply same day from an official Chris. I printed that question and answer page and took with me, just in case. But everything was fine.

Sen Sessions is not only person who is opposing Cir/skil.There are many people in the Senate are opposing. Everyone knows that congress is evenly divided on immigration. But 10 Senators can make a big difference if some compromise bill is introduced. So anything can happen in next 2 months in immigration. Sometimes short time is advantage as they may pass bill in a hurry and lot of provisions may be passed without big visiblity.

I would like to think that there are lots of members who are interested in participating in campaigns like this. I participate in most of IV campaigns and have sent flowers and called all reps for 5882. This is a campaign that I would be interested in participating in. If you are going to chat about this on IV chat (which many members cannot access because of restrictions), then please post the transcript and summary here so that we can at least understand the viewpoints of the participants and the action plan.
