Its hard to gauge what they are trying to do here by mentioning that the processing dates are accurate only as of July 31, 2008. But just attempting to make a few guesses. I might be totally wrong though

- May be they are trying to cover up their silly, non-backable acts of swinging Processing Dates back and forth as a pendulum. And hence keep the web posting data perpetually at a older date, so that if some official corners them they can say "Oh, forget the web data, it is out of date. Here's the more updated *internal* info" . But at the same time to the general public , they can point to "Go look at the web data, I can't open a service request for you based on where the processing dates are at" and thus avoid all accountability and head aches of opening service requests etc.

- May be they are going to fast forward the dates now that the PDs are retrogressed and people can't file service requests left and right based on processing dates outside normal processing times.

Dude, you reasoning does makes sense in this thread and in the other thread where people are talking about asking for accountability.

On a side note, I notice that your PD is in 2001 and your id is optimistic. Hope you keep the optimism alive�

Take an infopass appointment to know if your name check is cleared. I did the same, I couldn�t find out what was happening to my case, but I did find out that my background is cleared.

Since you have work authorization (EAD), you should apply for SSN. For job application you donot need SSN but once you get a job then your employer might ask yr SSN for background check and afterwards for pay check. Generally it takes 2 weeks to get SSN so it's better to apply in advance.

Refer to http://www.ssa.gov/pubs/10002.html#how and check out Application For A Social Security Card (Form SS-5) under How do I get a number and card? You need to fill out this form.

This form has list of documents you need to get a SSN card. Generally you need to carry your Passport and EAD. They will return all the documents at same time. They won't keep the documents with them and they need all original documents. They donot accept Copies. Hope this helps.

The indian consulate needs a proof of address for me and my wife
We sent them the Property tax bill and hoped that it would work but get this mail from travisa

Now why does not a property tax not work ? it is issues by the county.

You sent property tax bill, so I guess you own a home! Send the copy of first page of the "Deed", notarized.

1. Utility bill
2. USCIS AP if any
3. Phone bills (doubtful)

Send at least 3 different types or all possible documents you have if they ask for 1.

If nothing has her name, send yours + copy of your marriage certificate, notarized and explain the situation.

One of the companies sponsored my H1B and I am trying to get the visa stamped in India.

I got the wage report from the company but not the "Unemployment" wage report, so I am confused.

Any help about the document would be greatly appreciated.

i know you are not in US.You cannot get the unemployment report yourself directly.You ask the company who sponsored the visa.They will get thru the attorney.

I know that it is possible to apply for H1-B visa and enter after using EAD. But, I am little dubious about using old visa after using EAD, but it should not make much of a difference I think.

In any case, you should be prepared to field questions at the POE for your actions otherwise he may ask you to use AP instead.

By the way, this is the only way one can re-instate their H1-B status after using EAD.

Yes this looks bad, and what we're trying to do with MI will be stomped on to a large extent by this.

The key problem is that it assumes that DHS SAVE system is up to date, and we know how far USCIS gets with data entry.
Also licenses to be marked as temporary.

Dont worry. As long as you have last 3 months paystubs, always present them to INS even if they dont ask for it. For your last 2.5 months of bench check with your employer if he will give you a letter for unpaid leave of absence. Many people on H1 face this problem.

As meridiani said, you should visit india once before filing 485 and before your current visa stamp expires.
