Also if its not possible to come here before Aug 15th ,then it will be very useful if she carries her titre's of all the required immunisations from an uscis certified physician in India and shows it to the civil surgeon here. Talk to the civil surgeon in person here and check with him if he will be willing to accept lab results from India .

To link unemployment with illegal immigration is a far stretch...
a.) what is the proof that illegals here are not already employed?
b.) Do illegals and citizens/legals compete for the same job? --> probably Not
It only means these faceless humans will get some rights and protection...

IMO anti-immigrant racist voter percentage will be on decline in coming years. So democrats/gop is better off catering to the likes of this younger generation.

You need to submit a new education evaluation.
I had also received an RFE.
An acceptable evaluation must:
1) consider formal eduction only
2) state if collegiate eduction is post-secondary education (i.e did appicant complete the US equivalant high school before entering college)
3) provide detailed explanation of material provided
For EB2 degree.. even if your labor states only Masters degree is required you need to prove that minimum education required for master's degree is Bachelors degree and a minimum requirement for Bachelors degree is your 10 + 2 high school education. Please contact thedegreepeople.com (sheila), they helped me in getting my I-140 approved.

I was not giving advice. I was clearly requesting "Please guys, let's not fight" and trying to divert the conversation to a logical discussion about horizontal spillover helping I & C. My conversation with him did end in a civil manner.
In the mean time a random passer by like yourselves comes along and stirs the pot again, when the fire was just about to be extinguished. If you don't like my argument, debate it, we all love good debates here and most often we learn from each other. Don't just attack. My only and last post on this topic.

Then ask your attorney to send AC21, it is just a letter with new offer letter.

H1B + GC holders pay SS + Medicare (??) for which they are entitled only when they become citizen.

Based on this, GC holders with 40 work credits (that is, 10 years of US work experience) and reside in any of the 50 US states are eligible for SS, if they satisfy age and other requirements. So one doesn't need to be a US citizen to get SS benefits.
It's a different story that by the time, we all become 65, the SS coffers will be empty. Of course, I wish no one is in a position where they need SS to survive.

I don't think 90k for someone with 7-8 years of experience is high in most parts of US. Market rate for IT professionals might have increased in people working with niche technologies. But in general, I see a down trend. And with more people in the job market in Jan 08 (with AC21), I can predict the rates heading south.
Everyone of those people using AC21 will come from an existing job. They will typically go to a higher paying job. Every one of those jobs vacated will have to be sought on the open market, where they'll have market rates of today vs three years ago.
So my glass is half full. :D

I did post about this. We have seen professor's expert opinion letters showing the equivalency to the MA being approved. However, the evidence does point to an equivalency to a BA.

You also mentioned in one of the post that you have had 100% success rate equating CA to MS. Now, evidence is pointing to the contrary, I am not sure about the effect on these approved I-140 petitions.

section (203) (3) (i) or (ii) etc.. for skilled worker or professional. I believe You could also find this on your I-140 receipt notice..
'Will accept academic studies evaluated as equivalent of US Bachelors' This wording is tough to handle given that what you have is a Combination of courses evaluated as equivalent to US Bachelors, based on details provided in your post quote "I have a 3 year diploma & 1 year towards Bachelors in business" end quote.

I am joining new job using AC21 provision coming monday. My new employer does not provide medical insurance for the first month. I am eligible for after I complete 1 month.
So my question is: till the time I get medical coverage from new employer (approx. 20 - 30 days), can I invoke COBRA? I heard that one can not invoke COBRA if he or she is employed (only meant for un-employement) is this true?
Also, should I call my current insurance company for COBRA now, or I can wait if I really need to visit a doctor? is there a grace period for this? Because there is a possiblity that I may never would have to visit a doctor for next 20-30 days, but who knows!
Appreciate your answers.
