What reason did you give for declining this promotion? what kind of company is this ? how big ? would your salary increase ?
Maybe if you answer this, I could think of something..but as of now..if its a good company and you like it..explain to them the nitty gritties about how change in occupation, classification, salary etc would jeopardize your GC process...i can give more suggestions if you want to send me a PM..

Only a regular Lou Dobbs watcher will know, Lou never read a negative message posted by audiance on his show, and he will read only those messages who are racist, and literally hates immigrants.
My experience is sending messages to the person whom we are going to target won't help. We need to counter attack using a different and equally powerful channel. The negative comments we post on Lou Dobbs and CNN are never posted or maybe never read to the end.

You say all these because you understand. Most of these police officers out there (and even Immigration Enforcement officers) dont understand the laws they are enforcing. I once asked an american embassy consular officer during an H1B renewal interview how long I had to stay in the US if I get laid off from my job. She smiled and said she doesnt know. Ironic right? That is US Immigration laws for you. So complex yet so unreasonable.

We have been living in a county which has implemented 287g for some time. And I believe all legal residents in my county feel safer because of its implementation. Sure, there is a chance that 287g can be misused by the police. But tell me one law which can not be misused by police.

Why can't garbage be thrown in Walmart shopping plastic bags?
It doesn't make sense to harm environment even more by buying new things.In fact, there are new trash cans available whose upper mouth is designed to fit in shopping bags itself.
Regards photos-Let's say you save $20 by saving on photo. You can put this extra $20 in bank @rate of 5%. or you can spend it on extra dinner/movie.
Both options will still rejuvenate economy.
If you send saved $20 to India-Indian govt will be happy to reduce its oil import bill by $20, your family will use this $20 to buy a new Motorola cell phone/Nike shoes or eat dinner at MacDonalds.
Circle of Money never stops.

OPT is just a bandaid that allows politicians to postpone addressing the real issues for a little while. If the real probably are not addressed in 2 years when the OPTs run out it will actually be worse.
Of course anyone using OPT is just joining an even longer GC queue.

Note sure what you're looking for. The memo I cited went into effect on June 16th. If that's not what you're looking for, you can try "press room" at USCIS's website where all memos are listed by date.
I tried CIS press room, but couldn't find it. And i'm sure that about couple of weeks back i saw that memo (which states if initial evidences are not present, they might reject/deny a case without RFE). It was posted on this board and now its very hard to search with few words.

We sent an email to CISOmbudsman.Publicaffairs@dhs.gov and they gave the update, even though the online status didn't update for more than a week.
The Ombudsman office gave a response with in one business day.
Found out from the Senator's office that my case has been approved. Attorney was able to call and confirm. No change in online status though.
E-filed on May 5th

Your idea is marvelous, I totally agree, if not five years, make it eight or ten years but should have something like that. I don�t know how easy/hard is to get this implemented. But we could try for at least some relief once a person finishes a decade in this country.

since the guy is already used to having two wives it won't be that hard to have thrid wife for a change.Hence I suggest don't bring anyone of them here for sometime.Get married here to a US citizen, then divorce her after you get your GC.Atlease this unique situation has something good to offer.

I understand your situation as i was there once. If you dont have insurance than your options are very limited. if you live in dallas county parkland hospital is your only choice. Parkland has a network of several clinics around DFW area. Every clinic has financial assistance department. You can visit any of those and they will setup a payment plan which is reasonable based on your income. You will visit them for all prenatal care and when the time comes for delivery it will be taken to parkland. and parkland is a very good hospital as well. beside parkland several hospitals also offer cash plans like RHD memorial at 635 but they will charge you close to 4k just for delivery day and if its a normal one. you will have to do prenatal at your own.
