I am assuming this is a cluster? I seriously doubt that would be enough space for every person to access their iTunes content via the cloud. The only conceivable way is if you were limited to the amount of space (like allocated into your 20GB default mobileme account). That would be weak. There are and have been options out there to use your home mac as a media server over the net. Orb is one of them. Besides, any unfortunate souls that were not grandfathered into the unlimited iPhone/iPad data plan would destroy their 3G usage. I still think ATT is the weakest link here for those. I am fortunate enough to have the unlimited data, but many, many people out there do not. (How do you live with 2GB a month???)
Also, you can currently store music and video on your iDisk and access it via Quicktime on the iphone/pad/pod. It's just not a seamless interface with iTunes.
Since they bought Lala, we've been anticipating this: I am really hoping Apple can convince the music and movie labels to allow a streaming subscription service to compete with Mog and Rhapsody (I use Mog currently), but it doesn't look all too promising because these said studios and labels are already at the mercy of Apple via iTunes.
MobileMe is an ok service. I am a subscriber. But I think like the majority of everyone, I feel it can be so much more. The collaboration uses for MobileMe are extremely limited. For example: It's a shame that in order to collaborate with iCal (Read/Write both ends) you need to implement Google to make it work. That's lame. Anyway, enough ranting. Let's just say I really hope Apple finally blows us away with the possibilities in the cloud.... and sooner rather than later.

Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated in advance...

There's 2 jailbreak apps for this. One creates a daemon that constantly deletes the location files. Another onewipes out the location history and then does a wipeout of each location currently.
A lot of people are saying this is no big deal. According to the hacker that found this out, a hacker can hack onto the computer that the backup is located on and find out all of your locations.
All the people saying, "I don't sell drugs so I have nothing to worry about" or "I have nothing to hide" are probably the same people who voted for homeland security.......and we can all see how good that was...NOT.

I like the idea about ePrint. May even go out and buy a compatible HP Printer. Can anyone tell me if using this service would cost me extra? I know that the printer would have its own email address, would that involve extra phone charges? Need information...thanks.

Ok apparently there are different Applications provided from Hamachi. You just have to pick the right one.
Why do they even write different applications and not an all-in-one one ?

Weren't they made aware of this almost a year ago? That's a long time to address an oversight.
Actually the recent news about the location db is a completely unrelated issue.
1. Apple does collect location data in order to improve their location services. This was long ago disclosed to regulators and users. This is NOT the target of the recent media buzz.
2. Your phone dynamically creates a local cache of known cell tower locations in order to aid in GPS triangulation (the "a" in aGPS). This is the recent hot topic and has been grossly misrepresented by the media. (Apple does not collect this data, because they sent it to you in the first place)

The local Apple Store was not selling the 2nd Generation Shuffles today... So I went and bought one at the Best Buy right down the road for the same price. Turns out, I'm reading they're definitely not supposed to have them for sale yet. Anyhow, get them while they're hot in Aventura, FL!

Popular Twitter iPhone application Tweetie (http://www.atebits.com/tweetie-iphone/) received a major upgrade today with the release of Tweetie 2 [App Store (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=333903271&mt=8), $2.99], completely rebuilt from the ground up to bring significant speed improvements and several new features. The extensive list of features in the application's App Store description includes:- Seamlessly handle multiple Twitter accounts
- Explore all of Twitter, from your own timeline and mentions, to the favorite tweets of your followers and friends
- Full persistence: more than just caching tweets, Tweetie 2 restores your entire UI if you quit or get a phone call
- Fantastic new offline mode. Read, tweet, favorite, follow, save to Instapaper and more even when you don't have a connection. Your actions will be synced as soon as you go back online
- Full landscape support (configurable of course)
- Live-filter your tweet stream
- Post photos and videos, even configure your own custom image host
- Vastly improved compose screen with recent hashtags, @people picker, URL shortening and more
- Compose screen multiple-attachments manager
- Drafts manager ensures you never lose a tweet (and you can even send drafts to Birdhouse)
- Link Twitter contacts to Address Book contacts
- Follow, unfollow, block and unblock from multiple accounts simultaneously
- Saved searches sync with Twitter.com and the upcoming Tweetie 2 for Mac
- Autocomplete recent searches and Go-to-user
- Threaded Direct Messages and improved conversation navigation
- TextExpander integration
- Rich integration with Follow Cost, Tweet Blocker, Favstar.fm and more
- Edit your own Twitter profile
- Specify custom API roots on a per-account basis
- Nearby map view
- Translate tweets
- Preview short URLs
- Safari bookmarklet support for easily sharing links
- In-app rich text email composition
- Tons of little things, including improved avatar caching, auto-refresh, refresh-all, seamless Twitlonger support, hashtag definitions and more
- This is just the beginning. Tweetie 2 is already built to take advantage of great new features coming from Twitter, so expect updates turning them on soon!Users of the original Tweetie application should note that the new version is a separate app and will require users to again shell out $3, but indications seem to be that the new version is already worth the fresh cash outlay, with more features to come in the future.

I thought it was an amazing keynote, because I truly believe the iphone will in-fact be revolutionary! Look at the UIs on almost all of today's phones and they pretty much universally stink. This is going to cause the cell phone industry to take a long hard look at their own products and push harder.
I think it's funny that many posts on these boards talk about the excellent value for the Mac Pro (decked out, costing > $4k!), but balk at a $600 phone. This after they've probably dropped $100 on thier existing phone, and $300 on their ipod. For an extra $200, wouldn't you like to have the sexiest phone on the planet. Furthermore, if you're me, your sick to death of carrying two damn devices around every day anyway.
The other thing that amazes me is just how addicted we've become to the carrier-driven cell phone business model in the US. I live in China now, and I cannot tell you how many employees I have who make < $1k / month (and these are highly paid engineers here) that carry $500 cell phones. People in many other parts of the world are USED to buying cell phones for the "real" price - very very often $300 or $400 dollars.
And for that, what do you get - a MAJOR shift in the balance of power between mfg's and carriers. The carriers are now begging and scratching for business. Consequently it is one of the LEAST complicated things you can do (in China) - get a cell phone. In 90 seconds, I can (anonymously) get a new number and a few hours of calling time for about $20. There is almost not a store I can walk into where it isn't possible to do this. Shove in the SIM card and I'm done.
Jesus I wish the US was like that (wrt cell phone service). The hoops you have to jump through to get even pre-paid service in the US are truly ridiculous. If there is a major disappointment for me about this keynote, it's that it looks like the iphone will be carrier locked at least until '08, but we'll see. I was hoping Apple would sell the phones unlocked, and start the migration in the US away from carrier subsidies.

This is the third time I've noticed this. I charged my iPad last night and this morning it was 100% I did not use the iPad all day, save to check the %, right now, without using it ( it's 830 pm), it's at 59%? what's going on? We have an iPad and that one takes forever to run down...I have not used this one all day!

Apple already released a new iPhone this year... remember? The one that works on a CDMA network!
1) You really think they would put all that work into rolling out the CDMA iPhone 4 in February then turn around 4 months later and expect these people to buy an iPhone 5?
2) You know how many pissed off Verizon people there would be? June 2012 at the earliest... ;)
1) Yes, Apple doesn't care.
2) Yes, Apple doesn't care.
Think?
Apple only cares about the bottom line, they've gone from the company that bragged they were anti-establishment, to who they are today.
The mainstream, fancy retail store building, we'll screw you at every chance, company.
I'm NOT bashing Apple, it simply is what it is. Corporate America.
There's nothing wrong with that.

I know you can just go converttoguide.php?=(postnumber) and it will convert that post to a guide but is there an easier way than pasting the post number on the end of it?
You're looking for something easier than something that is, already, dead simple?
Oh man your guides are going to be awesome.
