If you have the case no. go to online case status and take the print out of approved notice, that should serve you purpose hopefully if you don�t have a original copy

I am a July 2nd filer with PD of OCT 2006. I am planning to switch my employer using EAD. Should I notify USCIS with AC21? What is my best option? What is the risk?

Here is my situation.My Pirority date is March 2005 and my category is EB3. My 485 and my spouse;s ( as my dependent) was filed through my compnay on July 2nd.
My spouse's company's had independently started processing is GC under EB2.His priority date is June 2007.He got his labor approved last week and is eligible for i-140 and 485 right now.
At this time, which category is most benefitial to us? EB3 from March 2005 or EB2 from July 2007?

I do not have the approval notice used to obtain a visa to enter the country for the very first time in 2001.
All attempts to obtain a copy of the I-797 from company/attorney have failed and so I have filed a I-824 for a duplicate. That will take a few months.
I am wondering what will happen if USCIS issues a RFE on my I-485 asking for evidence of lawful presence all these years.
I don't have all the I-94s either. I do have the visa stamp on my passport.

Secondly, they do not ask for your status since first entry. They look for last entry.
I've never seen any RFE like this.
I know 200,000 people who do not have their past I-797s and/or I-94s, none of them is worried....
If Immigration let you enter ona visa last time, alll your previous sins are forgotten!

what about the people who are beyond their 6 year H1B term -extending it every year. The USCIS website does not provide any indication for those.
Looks like it applies only to people with 6 year term expiring and labor applied/approved < 365 days. A very small subset of people perhaps but they needed immediate relief.

There are atleast 100 immigration doctor centers, and you will get an appointment in 1 week. Also they do package deals, so you can go brokeback (mountain) in 3 days.

My AOS application (including dependants') was received by USCIS mailroom on July 2nd 2007 at 10.20 am (according to FedEx Tracker), but the I-485 Receipt Date is Aug. 8th, 2007, and Notice Date is Oct 2nd, 2007. (USCIS took almost a month to enter our cases in their system). Now, USICS has sent rejection notices that our PD is not current in Aug.2007. Our cases are EB2, and PD is 05/2004, and PD was current in July.2007, as most of the July.2007 filers might know. The denial notice also has I-290B for us to file Appeal or Motion. I have contacted my law firm also. I remember seeing a similar thread, but couldn't find it now. I appreciate your suggestions and guidance. I have also sent a private message to Pappu, asking IV's help on this matter.

Thanks, You are right I havent applied for my I485 yet. I am only concerened about when I return back to US, will there is any issues at POE due to my long absence on H1B?

You can't maintain H-1B status while physically residing in India. But, you can still have your GC process running.
An absence won't be of any consequence as long as the visa is valid and you are employed by the same employer.

It would be hard to find a similar paying job in canada. Is there some kind of legal issue I would be in if I dont migrate to canada? Will I be barred from ever entering that country again?
Canada PR rules have been tightened in Feb 2008. Once you lose it , next time you may not get PR if you apply.

I am a physician MD currently doing IM residency on H1B. i have a job to start from oct 2007. since PDS for india are now current, i would like to know if my employer can file PERM for a prospective employee now in june. my univerdity lawyer is not clear or rather not willing to file.
