My wife is from a professional management environment and is not very impressed with iWork, pages specifically. We are doing a trial of it and we are thinking of doing the same for Office 2011 but are wondering that if in trial mode, will we be able to access the update?

I'm building a new PC out of some spare parts and a few upgrades... to play around with. To use for some stuff. And no, not games. Some legal software (I'm not paying twice).
But I'm saving up to buy a nice Mac in a few months (come on 970) to use. To work on. Audio/Video/Imaging. I know you can do those on a PC. But why would you want to?
I mean, really. Why?
I'd rather have secure and acurate than cheap and (sometimes) a little more speed.

Apologies for not coming back earlier, and thank you for your suggestions and comments. I agree a pocket watch would look good. Less contrast but nicer photo. However, it's a moot point as I'm fresh out of pocket watches at the moment! :) I've been waiting for some sun and me being here to reshoot it. Had to do it from the other side as it was 2 pm before the opportunity arose and maybe the background isn't as good, also tried a lower viewpoint this time.

I liked the first one much better. The angle and the background just don't work for me on this one. I think you were headed in the right direction on the first one though.

The first time I read the title, I thought that Apple has made Soundbooth app. After re-reading it, I realized it was Adobe who made it :eek:

How did they make a x86-only app for OS X? I though the only way app can be compiled for Intel OS X is use of UB format! Guess I was wrong...
Anyway, I dont need this SoundPooth, I'm happy with my Soundtrack Pro :D

Yeah a whopping 3V which means it will take 40% longer to recharge anything using the new connector unless they increase the amperage to compensate.
I assumed that Acc 3v meant power to the Accessory plugged in to the port. The iDevice itself would still charge from power on the data connection.

Those were the two good games... Then there were things like Pac-Pix, Pok�mon Rush etc. Also the original DS was really ugly, especially compared to the PSP :) In the end though, DS Lite came out as the winner.
One thing I really liked about the DS was that it came with a Metroid Prime Hunters demo, so there was at least something to play with immediately. Same thing with the AR cards included with the 3DS.
I'm really looking forward to future 3DS games, but then I always remember how the thing is region locked :( I have lots of Japanese and American games, for example Ouendan 1 & 2, Taiko no Tatsujin, Phoenix Wright etc. Many of these games didn't come out in Europe at all or came around a year late.

a lot of it is luck. only reason apple is big is because the former palm CEO found a tiny hard drive and used it to build the ipod. apple got lucky with the smart electronics revolution and rode it. we still have a few years left in this cycle and i don't know what's going to come next.
everyone experimented with limited devices going back to the 1980's but it took other tech like flash memory and wifi to make them a reality. i played with Palm and PocketPC 10 years ago and while they were cool most tasks were useless because you spent as much time putting in data as the time saved. it wasn't until iOS and the apps store where you could do things like select a few recipes and make a shopping list did a PDA become useful

I can't get this to work either even when the correct sync services box is checked. :confused:Doesn't work for me either. Turning to Time Machine now after messing up all of my calendars in the wasted time with this. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Yeah. A while ago I played with a Japanese import for a bit, no actual 3DS cart games just fiddling around with the built in one and the menu. Just played a UK one yesterday (Ridge Racer). I must say it's not only the best version of Ridge Racer I've played but the 3D effect was tremendous. Or maybe that game amplifies it a bit, but it was really quite deep.
The girlfriend was planning on going into HMV to buy a 360. That's when we were offered to try out a few games. Walked out with a 3DS preorder instead!
We're smitten.

Is there a way to have contents (home folder, applications, settings, preferences etc) of my Macs (one in the office and one at home) have any exact content.
So I can leave my MacBookPro at work but at home pick up on where I left off on my MacBook? - have access to all the same apps and settings.
My only guess is to SuperDuper the drive once I have the final HD and keep adding on both as I add apps/content along to both.

I agree; It's way too easy for people with bad intentions to know the best times to break into your home.
You are only sharing your location information with people in your facebook friends list, so if you have people on your friends list that want to break into your house than you have more serious issues to deal with than the new "Places" feature. ;) I would start deleting all those criminals from your friends list right away! :p
