And so it begins - this is the first of only many apps that are going to be written to work with Intel chip sets only, I'm afraid. I am, however, somewhat taken aback that they appeared this early from a major software company.
Perhaps there have been others, but I've not seen anything myself released which didn't have a PPC version available or was UB until now.

I think this mentality is a direct result of the growing income gap in the US. If you pay the peons (lower and increasingly middle classes) less, any tax at all is going to hurt them. When the economy contracts, take away more of what makes a civil society civil and ramp up the continual but false idea that we're overtaxed...

Apple has periods in which they allow people to apply for AppleSeed accounts. The purpose is to help them test their OS updates and releases in environments they are not able to replicate themselves. To this end I am not sure how your friend can 'get' you a seed account, legitimately. if you go the AppleSeed page you are generally greeted with the message
"We are not seeking new participants. You must have an invitation in order to log in."
That being said, anything relating to the seeds you would download are covered by NDA (non-disclosure agreement) and are legally binding. So your answer would be you cannot, legally, talk about those issues in any other forum then the one they provide.

Going to NYC for the launch party! My friend reserved me a black 3DS at a gamestop near his college(and a blue one for himself), but after we pick that up, we're going to Nintendo World Store for the launch party(hopefully it will still be bouncing after we pick up our 3DS elsewhere. I'm planning to camp out so my friend and I can get it quickly and move to Nintendo World Store

You could do with a crash course in Economics, not that I agree with what they are trying to achieve.
I am not saying no one should produce children. I am just saying its not the job of the government to make sure people are only cranking out units when they are "ready". Its called personal responsibility. If you get knocked up, deal with it. It's usually your own fault. Maybe your parents should have taught you to keep your pants on. It's not up the the government to teach you these things.

Dont you think that chip would be a little to hot... . Well, I fully agree with OS X being the best. But the OS and the quality apps are all that is going for apple. Apple lacks speed, but I cant blame apple for that (stupid moto :rolleyes, but I can blame them for not dumping moto a long time ago. If apple computer were just as fast as PCs there is no way I would think about getting near a 'peecee', but they arent as fast ...
What are you doing that requires so much speed. Do you bill clients by the hour? Do you continually render files that take hours? I'm curious to know why people who harp about speed really need it.
It's one thing to be able to attach earning to the speed of a computer but quite another to want a fast computer just for bragging rights.

1680x1050 pixels in the 13" would be nice. Retina is preferable, but a bit too much to hope for... at least within the next 1.5 - 2 years

Got my copy of Leopard and t-shirt! Start queuing about half four, maybe a little after.
I didn't expect that amount of people� I mean, I figured there'd be a lot of people, but :D. Also, congrats to the Apple store security people for blocking off the fools who started their own alternate queue from the opposite side of the store entrance. The organisation was crappy though. I don't know how many t-shirts there really were, but if anyone from Apple is reading this, next time someone should probably walk down the queue while it's not frantic and hand out numbered tickets for people to show as they go in.
I can't wait to get home and install it though! The front is so shiny� :O

Wow. And travel agents are going to keep us from buying plane tickets online. More recently real estate agents aren't happy with online real estate brokering. Go figure. Instead of innovating and finding ways to adapt, they just complain and threaten. If they're not careful, they'll go the way of the travel agent...
