Hi all,
I do have a worry about I140 processing and I hope somebody can help me.
I finally got my LC approved and now in the concurrent I140 and I485 filling process.
However, I noticed that there is a minor mistake in filling on my ETA9089.
My OPT expired on August 14th, 2006 and my H1-B was approved Dec 12th2006. However in the job experience part, there is a booboo. Instead of putting the start date as January 15th, 2007 (which was the date I started working in the company), they put August 14th, 2006. So from USCIS standing point of view, it could mean that I work during the gap between my OPT and H1-B! :(
Now I am worried sick that they will deny my I-140.
Any inputs anybody?

I got an RFE in Oct 2008 and responded to it. I a, hoping that I'm not going to get another RFE and also hoping that my application is pre-adjudicated and once the visa numbers are available (within one to ten years?!), i'll get the GC.

I think they carry only their own documents + hdfc receipt etc stuff in original.
All other documents (that are not issued to them) are a copy e.g. your I797 notice, copy of your passport, visa etc.
Your Birth certificate is one such document hence copy should be fine. And also your passport also has a name of each parent.

You can walk-in and get FP done without any problems. I did it 2 weeks before the specified date (at another location) when I went there to the Boston office to accompany another person. Just showed the FP notice (for a different location) and they didn't ask anything.

I filed my EAD and AP renewal on Sept 17 (20 days) ago but still I haven't heard received neither receipt notice nor my check being cashed. Is there anything we can do to find out about the receipt notice? Fedex tracking shows the mail being already delivered. I am currently working on EAD and recently used AC21 to switch the company so EAD is very important to me.
Please provide your feedback and if anyone is having same delays in getting receipt notice for EAD / AP.

Did you send your application by Fedex or some other courier that had tracking? Are you able to track when the package(s) reached the Service Center? Which Service Center did you filed your applications at?

Here (http://www.dphoto.us/forumphotos/showgallery.php?cat=1377) are a few pictures from my excursion to Turkey Run S P last weekend. While my camera performed better than I expected from a late-90's era 2.7MP DSLR, I didn't fare so well, coming home with far fewer "keepers" than I would have liked. My greatest problem was that I either didn't set up a tripod or failed to increase the ISO to get more DOF in many landscape shots that needed it, and frequently I also got motion blur from lack of tripod usage. This experience has taught me that for me personally, even though the D1 is 2 stops faster than Velvia, I still must slow down and use a tripod - not only to prevent blur and enable slower exposures, but also to force a slower and more thoughtful pace of composition.

Please remember, we do have some members from antiimmigrant groups like numberUSA, who have created similar siyuations in the past.

I am working on H1B visa since 2006 and my parents got an green card 7 month back. they are here in us and planning to stay here permanently, my question is.
after 4 years when they get a citizenship, if they file I-130 (familybased GC) for me and my family and I will be still is US on H1B, can I directly file for adjustment of status or I need to wait till my date will be current?

Just mark NO, since it is a Yes / No question. You currently have EAD for next 2 years, hopefully it'll get renewed. You don't have a crystal ball to tell what will happen after that.

I am a little confused. I just got my H1B extension done recently and my attorney sent me a letter saying that if I go out of the country for stamping I need to make sure my Passport is valid beyond the H1B period.
My passport expires in May 2008 and my current H1 is valid till July 2010. Does anyone see any issues in going for stamping in India in July 2007 with my current passport and later on some time next year applying for a new Indian passport.

You can apply for your new passport a year in advance. It might take a week to 10 days to receive by mail. If you go to the Indian Embassy or Consulate, you can get it the same day. But, you should be ok with the current passport since you have almost a year left on it.:cool:

I am asking this question for relative of mine. I wanted to get some honest opinions.
My relative was manager in India for family company (extended family) for 3-4 years. He received visitor visa about 2 years ago, and subsequently arrived in US.
After taking extended tour of US, he felt that he could expand Indian company's business in US. His companied in India tried to open up business in US. He received L1A for 1 year. However, due to bad economy, business advantature wasn't successful.
He wanted to try to stay in US and try some other management position for established company. Subsequently applied for H1B. He recently received denial notice from USCIS.
Currently, original L1A is expired. L1A extension is pending (lawyer was late in filing, and only filed 7 days before expiration of original L1A).
Is he out of status at this point (expired L1A and denied H1B)? L1A extension is still pending.
What are his option if he wants to stay LEGALLY in US?
Please excuse my ignorance but I do not know much about immigrations, as I am US Citizen myself and never had to go through this grusome process.
I would also appreciate attorney's input.

Sorry to read about your mother's problems. As the other posters have said, please do NOT use any agency, office, notario, or other service that claims to be able to help unless they are really attorneys or a charity. Be especially careful of notarios - these are not lawyers in the US.
Your mother would not be eligible for TPS unless she was in the US before Jan 12, 2010. Hopefully you are a US citizen and can petition for her permanent residence (green card)

there is a little logic involved here. what if you changed the jobs between your AC21 and latest NOID. I think CIS just wants to make sure you are still hired by issuing a NOID even though they looked into AC21.
BTW I had the same situation and I had to respond to NOID with the same emp letter.

Is your friend working? 26 states requires SSN, if your friend is working on SSN required state, how she/he got it? Most of the RN position just required 2 year education how does the individual able to file H1B. Please try to answer as many question as you can. Thanks.

If they reject the application if a signature or something is missing. Can we refile again? Or do we wait for PD to become current again.
In my oinion,
1) you can file again before August 17th if you got a rejection notification well before that.
2) If you may not be able to send proper application till August 17th then yes you will have to wait till PD becomes current again
