I and my wife applied for I485(EB3) in July 2007. We both have got our EADs, but not used it.

My H1 is valid till May 2009. I have I140 approved and have got my H1(3 years) till May 2009.

My wife has her own H1b valid till Dec 2008.

We are planning to get divorced. i have applied for Divorce in India in this month (may 2008).

Is there a way I can cancel my 485 application. Because If i get my green card it will be difficult for me to marry girl from India.

My wife has mentioned that she will be applying for Divorce in USA.

Can I withdraw my 485 application and just be on H1 and wait for applying later. I do not care about GC.

Mr. Murthy didn't bring out the message correctly. If you read clearly his message is directed towards state govts which dont provide infrastructure and mandatory English as education. So, I think he meant that as long as state govts act upon giving good infrastructure and mandatory English, young talent will remain in India.

But r the bloody politicians listening?

The man is worth $1.6 billion and need not resort to such cheap gimmicks and hez no longer the chief of Infosys. And the guy who cant interpret a simple message and calling it a gimmick whoz he? Some small time programmer sitting in a corner typing stuff about Infosys/gimmicks???--- LOL. Give the revolutionary businessman some respect will ya?

I think all depends on how many ROW cases are in the 47000. Especially older PDs, newer PDs most likely will be still in the I-140 queue or I-485 queue to be proceesed.



I presume that ROW would be significantly impacted by this as India & China would not benefit a lot from it now because of PDs being badly retrogressed. I'm afraid that this has the potential of exhausting EB3-ROW row numbers for the rest of the year. Am I wrong to assume this?

I know there are some of good <desi> consulting companies..

�there are some of good <desi> consulting companies� �hmm.. debatable. Its like saying there are some good bad-apples. I think there can be grades for desi consultants like little bad, more bad, even more bad, horribly bad, ruthlessly bad�etc but not good.
I don�t think there are any desi consultants who don�t fake their resume at least a little bit. Yeah, even a tiny bit (tiny bit according to consultants mostly will be quite a bit in normal standards) of faking is still faking. So how can you call them good?

Thanks KS !! but is it a law or did they create their own rules ? I know I am day dreaming here ...but if they were to push (the worst category) EB3 - I in this case so that it is somewhere in 2003 then it would make their system look better ..i.e. instead of giving people a chance to say that USCIS is broken they could say ..people will get GC's in 4 -5 years time.

Check the Family based 4th Category for Phillipines. It is stuck in 1986 for a long time now. That is they have pending applications from 22 years ago.

I don't think they have any interest in making their system look better. It is what it is.
