I really don't understand the point of these maps. Is the idea, "If you want a better chance to get a cap, drive to one of these states"? At least this one's attractive.

Of course not. I was saying that if these were the original parts that were rejected by Apple, then there isn't much wiggle room regarding the fact that they are stolen goods. It is highly unlikely that Apple released these parts for sale. It is much more likely that they were ordered stored or destroyed. Either way, they would now be stolen property.

The only thing I'm missing on my 11" MBA is an SD card slot. I use my MBA 80% for pictures and video. I use a Wifi SD card now but away from home the SD slot would be great.

Hi everybody,
at the moment I've got an old non unibody MacBook Pro with an ACD like in the picture below. As apple has switched to the unibody models they started to put a black bezel on the the ACDs and a black keyboard to the MacBooks. What I love about the silver-only-design is, that the content on the screen is much more dominant, the MacBook and the ACD seems to fade away when you are working with them. I just wanted to know what you think about the new vs. old design.

I should ask, how long does DNA testing take? I was told in February that it takes between 2-5 days.
I wonder if that might be "banker's hours"? Send a courier to the lab, lab tech does the test and goes home for the night, reading the results in the morning. Who knows what kind of advanced equipment and tech the military has access to. Fly right to the Kabul lab, start the test, fly to the carrier, proceed under the impression that this is him, with the hosing-down, funeral and dumping. A few hours later, confirmation.

To be honest, this is a smart move from Microsoft. If there is one thing I cannot stand about Apple, it is the silly prices they charge. The Apple Tax is stupid.
I suppose on the bright side, at least we get what we pay for most of the time.

I would agree that the WP7 Metro is a good looking UI when compared to iOS. However, it seems pretty obvious that we won't be getting an iOS UI overhaul after having seen screen shots of Lion's Launchpad.

Where do you think the Thunderbolt port might even go in the Air? Will it replace one of the USB ports? Doesn't seem like there's really that much room... thoughts?
As mentioned, it'll take up a bit more space inside for the Thunderbolt controller but it'll simply replace the existing Mini DisplayPort so it becomes a 2-in-1 port on the outside.

Gives us a nice goal to get out of Afghanistan have finished. We got him and destroyed his network ability to launch large attacks. And hopefully but Afghanistan into a position where the moderates will be in control.
Were we ever going to stop terrorism with guns? No, but thats a long term battle we need to be fighting. And its one that starts with leaving Iraq and Afghanistan.
I don't think so. If we wanted to "get out of Afghanistan" we coulda done it a long time ago. Iraqi's killed more coalition, killed more assets, and at a much faster rate than the rag tag Taliban...because Iraqis were smart at least. Although we have Iraq practically in a position like Saudi Arabia as a "future oil reserve", we still need to take care of Iran. Don't be surprise if "nuke factories" and "Iranian weapons in Taliban caches" come up once again. ;)

Yeah, the burial was fast and irreversible because they don't want to give someone a frozen body they had for years. :p I'm not convinced they "just killed him". I think at this point OBL's "martyrdom" is long past significance and they are just setting up to put "Al Queda" on a lower hit list and target other "terrorist" like those in Iran. Of course we need to prevent other "Bin Laden"s for the future! What a better organization to rely on than those who killed #1 terrorist! ...in a mansion in the open after 10 years. :p
