Good luck! With the right ideas, usibility and topics (like macrumors), people are bound to join and the site will be great. Also, IMHO the layout is very attractive! I joined with the same username (freakk123) as here.

Wow! Just wow. First, your movie editor cannot change your source footage. Second, DV is Digital Video. If you have analog video, then it impossible for it to be DV.
No need to be condescending. A simple explanation would suffice, especially when it's obvious he's looking for help.

Yes, bring this thread back to life!
I looked thru that apple listing of keystrokes, but I couldn't find one to restore windows (or I overlooked it). That is, if a window of an app is minimized onto the dock and you select the app by apple+tab, is there a keystroke to restore the window so I don't have to use the mouse to find it on the dock and click on it?
Thanks!
Don't think so, but try hiding the apps/windows using cmd-H instead of minimizing them to the dock. Then they are gone from view and reappear when you choose that application again (e.g. using cmd-TAB/shift-cmd-TAB to navigate all open apps), even Finder... (Only problem is that this only works for all the windows of a given program.)

Forgive what may be a newb question, but I'm a current Windows user thinking of going bi, OS that is... I'm surprised that Boot Camp doesn't seem to offer simple backup solution. Does anybody happen to know if Parallels will backup both Windows & Mac partitions.

They'll get more than 10 phones. I'm guessing they will have more 16gb models than 32gb though. Which are you after? I'm aiming for the 32gb version.
I guess there is always carphone warehouse if o2 run out!
I'm after a 32gb hopefully in White if they have them! Do you know of anyone else that is going down?

Escape Velocity! Marathon!
I saw a 575 on Craigslist the other day for $20. As others have said, it was a fine machine back in the day, but not very collectable without the original packaging, and in pristine condition.
So hold onto it, play some games, and bask in the nostalgia!

If not, have you filed a bug report?
I asked a friend with that issue and he says he still has it. :(

What is a good app for a newbie to create a webpage? I want something simple and easy, free would be a plus. I also have a simple knowledge of html.

Post the exact error message. An "invalid selector" error usually shows the exact selector expected.

Hi, I want to put some CD's that I purchased on my iTunes to put on my iPod. The only problem is that I am getting a new laptop soon, my BlackBook is dyeing.)))): Well, so far I have bought all my music on iTunes, but it's so expensive. I bought many CD's like I said, and I'm putting them on iTunes. When I plug the iPod into a new computer, it would ask me if I wanted to transfer my purchases. And everything that I bought would transfer. The songs that I got from other websites wouldn't transfer. But If I import the CD's through iTunes, will it still transfer to the new computer? Or do they have to be bought from iTunes?
Thank You!
If you have an external hard drive just move the files from one computer to another, it's pretty easy if you do it that way. If you don't have one, just use the program I used to use, Idump Pro, here's a link for the cnet download of that program. http://download.cnet.com/iDumpPro/3000-2141_4-10805181.html

Thanks for the heads up chrono about the collision detection, but that was not really where I was getting at.
Perhaps this image will make it clearer.

The merging part is where I'm stuck.
I want the decay of the 'barrier' realtime, not a bunch of sprites displaying a decaying barrier.
Think of Worms where you blast away a piece of ground....how do they do that.
Cheers

It was fairly recently, and I don't often let it go to sleep, so I honestly haven't noticed yet, although I think I did catch it working right earlier today.

Anyone know how many tee shirts they'll be giving out?
Probably a couple hundred that will fit 25% of the people they give them to ;)

Hi, I've long been a user of Extensis Suitcase Fusion but found it to be problematic, and buggy - upon startup font sets that are supposed to be active are de-activated, halts shutdown as the App won't quit and has to be forced quit in order to continue shutdown etc.
Just wondered if anyone had any font management recommendations? I've never really tried the Mac OS native Font Book, so does anyone know if that's worth a look or if there's any other good third party options?
Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Simon

You are quite mistake, this second preview is near feature complete. It needs some polishing, but for the most part it's nearly ready to be shipped.
The first preview had a lot of major bugs. It may be near feature complete, but I agree that they need to spend time and ensure the IDE is stable before they make a GM.

Apple and every other computer maker is going to be held back. Don't you think apple had sandy bridge based computers in the pipeline
The biggest difference is others started shipping/advertising those computers before apple
