I have a friend holding a "Tourist Visa" and still back home. If an employer files I-140 for him, will that give him a risk of not allowed entry using Tourist Visa at the port of entry because he has an I-140 petition?
If he works for the same company abroad that filed for his i140, it should not be a problem. If he does not work and instead wants to come on a tourist visa, he might have problems.

EAD/AP should be extended by you. I am surprised your employer is involved in this. You will need a copy of your 485 receipt notice.
Even if you are working on H-1b, it is much safer to pony up the money and keep your EAD renewed and available at all times. You never know when things change.

Wow.... Sounds like those who had TB Skin test come out positive are on the hook for the Medical RFE's
I had my TB (Skin) test positive, but I also think the X Ray reports were included, but I might be wrong...
Good idea though.. and it does make sense to get a new medical done that way the USCIS does not have another thought looking at the old medical forms.

I joined dphoto because I wanted to get more use out of my digital camera. I figure that if I can learn to take better pictures, then I will have more fun.

Hi above is an update from this end. I do have one more question though. My wife was not given an I-94 when she entered using TL instead her passport was stamped with the arrival date and initials "LPr". I am getting ready to apply for a new AP for us what should I write as her "Class of Admission"? Also do you foresee any issues with the AP renewal since I cannot send them a copy of an I-94?
CBP at the airport mistakenly thought your wife was a permanent resident, instead of still having a pending 485. She should not this on the I-131 when applying for a new AP.

The reason for my infopass is its been more than 90 days since I filed for EAD. There is one option specifically for this scenario. When I selected this option I am getting "No appointments available" message for the past one month.
May I know what is the reason for your infopass?. Is your infopass is due to the delay in EAD renewal process?

Take an infopass appointment or call USCIS customer service. However there is no guarantee that whatever they tell you is correct.:mad:

I feel "related" might be the key word that can cause discomfort for a lot of people. How does one determine that ones job is related to his/her degree ? This might finally be left upto the discretion of the USCIS.
One might have studied electrical engineering and then get in a job writing embedded systems software. Will that be a related job ?
One might have an MS in Biological sciences but might be writing software for genetics. Is that a related job ? The list can go on.
How far can one digress from ones degree major to still be considered related.
I presume we might see a lot of confusion regarding STEM if the whole thing is made into a law.
