Another answer from Rajiv Khanna: on multiple 485s
I recommend both husband wife file for yourselves and for each other. So between the two , there will be four 485 applications. One: Wife as primary, husband as derivative. Second, husband as primary and wife as derivative. We do this all the time and this is the safest thing to do. You will keep whichever 485 set gets approved, first, the other will be rejected by CIS.
If CIS rejects the other 485, do they keep the fees or do they refund the fees?

Can any one tell how to print the Forms that are longer than 1 page? Should it be one sided or 2 sided?

Right now checked my bank account and all 6 checks (for me and wife) cashed. All receipt numbers are at the back of the check. AsI was expecting the package was transferred to Texas.
All receipt numbers start with SRC******
This is the happiest day since July 17 for us....
I am very very hopeful that you guys will get it. Check your bacnk too today.
Do you think USCIS came to know about your "List compilation" activity and hence your receipt......I think I should take over list compilation now :p
Happy for you man...

qasleuth - You do not even deserve my reply. So you are free to write anything that you want!
Kumar1, You have a reputation of "beyond repute" on this forum and one of the leaders who people expect to lead us. Is this the ethical/moral standard you live by ? Disgustingly shameful. And are you one of those people who throw empty cups in a trash can over here but chuck it onto the streets when you go back to your home country ? I bet you are. You rent and have no idea about what you are talking about yet doling out useless/dangerous suggestions.
Paujabi77, I will not get into moral/ethical dialog with you (inspite of your comments like "i will sell it after couple of years and make money")
Actually you should consider yourself in the same group as these so called stupid people, cannot exclude yourself as a smart person just because you did not take an ARM. Any decent website/article/source of info will tell you that you cannot buy a house if you are planning on staying for less than 2 years.
"well it is not my bad decision that has brought down the whole market but the banks and stupid people who took loan"
Here is some real advice:
Letting your bank forclose on you or filing for bankruptcy is not a decision you take lightly asking people on the forum for advice. Your credit score can go down by as much as 300 points affecting you financially over the next few years which you perhaps have not really thought about. Just because you have existing loans (like credit cards) on a low rate does not mean they are 'locked'. Banks can hike the rates periodically based on your current score often to as high as 32 %. This is not pennies but can be hundreds of dollars in interest. Ever got harsh calls from collectors ? Ever got evicted from your place of residence ? Ever got denied when you try to rent ? Try living only on cash for a few weeks and see how it feels without credit. I have not gone through any of those thankfully but have seen and heard horror stories. Consult a professional or do research on your own before making a decision.

See the words in RED BOLD font. They highlight you mentioning the word "REFERENCE". Kapish?!
Maybe you should check on your eyesight. And while you're at it, get your head examined as well... memory loss is an early sign of onset of senility.
Dick head, as I said check your reading comprehension skills. I am sure you will flunk it. Agreed reference was in my post but you have diluted the whole meaning of my post. Great that you are a perfectionist who reads words carefully.
You just picked up one words in my post and diluted the whole meaning of it. Cant imagine where chutiyas like you come from.
I am sure you are some lowly developer under threat from off shore vendors and hence desperate to see their backs off you by hook or crook.

Diana,
It makes sense to file concurrently only when PD is current. Otherwise it is like applying for your citizenship before getting your GC!
In other words I do not understand why your lawyer wants you to file concurrently when your PD is not current. Just to collect his fees? Maybe. He is at least right aboout the fact that USCIS will do nothing with your I485 application unless your PD is current. So I would just wait till your PD is current. You can still file for your I140 and wait for that to get processed.
Regards,
PH
I am not an attorney, so you will appreciate that any reliance is at your will.

I see the same. my pd is may 20.
Did anyone see any Soft LUDs on their 485 or old EADs before their approvals/RFEs?
My PD is June 7 2006, not current. Yesterday, I had a soft LUD on my 485 and my first EAD. These two haven't seen any activity since early 2009, and I'm wondering if this means anything or if I'm reading into this a little too much.
thanks,

for once sepia mutiny decided to cover our story. i still dont understand that blog. more than 80% of the posts are dedicated to ridiculing indian issues...most of the contributors are indian americans...but they never cover our issues.
i cant understand why they cant make up their mind...either limit yourself to covering indian american issues or accept that we are a part of your ethnic group too. is there an african american blog that keeps harping about child mortality in africa? is there a italian american blog that is dedicated to researching origins of pasta recipes in italy?
i dont get them but at least we get some more coverage.
because most of them are ABCD's or people who got their GC's in late 80's & 90's and are citizens now. Most of the regulars there might not know the whole GC mess, except for a bunch us who flocked with the GC post.

How do you know that experience in Canada or Mexico will be any different from experience in India? It can be only better at a consulate that hasn't yet implemented PIMS, which I don't think there are any at this point. At least you are at home with family. I think the worst is to be stuck in Canada or Mexico for a month. I think the moral of the story is to use AP whenever possible.
I personally know at least couple of friends who went to canada in the hopes that they will get the stamp earlier. But both of them were stuck because of PIMS for weeks. One was stuck for 6 weeks and other 5 weeks.
So I do not think revalidation in India or canada or mexico really matters.

not to hijack the conversation - but at some point, IV needs to distinguish between a donor, a contributor and a freeloader.
e.g. donors get access to all threads, contributors specific threads for which they have contributed and freeloaders general threads only. i guess that means setting up contributions at the thread level - not sure if thats possible right now.
Right. I have been a proponent of making "ask lawyer" section paid service (ex: 5$ per question). This generates additional revenue for IV. People normally spend 200$/hr to talk to lawyers anyway.

Not so. There are no quota caps for spouses of US citizens, hence no retrogression.
You can do that. But the Family based immigration is very slow too

Dude,
Sunnysurya is busy trying to get people for the lawsuit. He will not reply to you.
According to IV Tracker, his EB2 PD is Nov 2005. He has filed in Nebraska.
Thanks
EB2 folks with PD 2006 and later and also those in TX center, beware!
He might file a lawsuit against you guys as well for 'skipping' the line.
LOL.

what i mean is you should take out the H1B part from the letter and then send it to your lawmakers. the letter is modifiable- you can add, delete or change content before sending it.
