You mean to say that "Those who have EAD with PD 2006/2007" needs green Card and you dont bother about PD 2000-2005 from Backlog who never got a chance to apply i-485 ?
Moral: Allow the people to suffer who are suffering and let others make merry(PD 2006-2007).
I am just giving my observations. I (and most of the people here) know the pain in waiting on H1-B. Definitely the ability to file I 485 desrves higher priority.

I could not able to do web fax., forums are recognising my user id and password and when I enter my user id and password at

I am wondering everybody here is throwing stones at small consulting companies, I wonder how these people came to US surely somebody did there H1? right? People are working in big companies HP/Oracle/SAP bla bla.. but I'm sure they are not the ones who brought you guys here. Also the day they'll get their green cards each of these people are going to open similar companies and do the same thing. This is amazing how people forget their past and forget the people who brought them here...I will call you guys thankless....

Dont let people come here and not pay them / treat them as slaves on contract etc. Look at all the postings (go to murthy's web site--you will see many) Employer not paying, etc etc. In such case whats difference between an illegal hotel worker and these mistreated H1bs. I stay in an apartment OK. One day my neighbour (living downstairs) was crying with his wife and a small kid. You want to know the reason--NO PAY FOR 2 MONTHS!!!!. All his hard earned money was finished paying rent, OK and his kid was sick. No money, nobody to ask. His contractor said WAIT, WAIT and nothing else. Having personally seen this situation, I am a little concerned. Why would you be concerned in asking infosys to disclose the usage of H1bs procurred by them?? If its used properly there shouldn't be any issue. Now how microsoft uses the H1b is more transparent. How many of u working for microsoft have had any issues???

Looking at the movement of dates for EB3, esp India and China, it's hard to be optimistic of any changes. It's a very wretched position to be in for Indian and Chinese nationality, if they're in EB3. All those who are eligible to port will definitely try to port to EB2 as long as it's available and cut their waiting time. It might be risky and unpredictable, but it's a risk worth taking considering the endless torture in the form of a long wait and zero or little forward movement of dates.
There've been times when I've felt like attempting porting, but am not sure of the reaction of my employer - a big "reputed" company. If they revoke the I-140 in retaliation for using AC-21, then no chance of porting and back to square one. So it's the seemingly endless wait for me just like all others suffering from 2001 onwards. If only I'd not hesitated to take a bold step back in 2003. Too late to lament about that though.

Based on my receipt numbers and looking up on USCIS website, it appears my AOS application that was sent to NSC has been sent to California Center. I have not seen anybody's case being sent to CSC. Dunno how good or bad it is and whether it sppeds up/delays my EAD processing. Anybody had experience with CSC and got any of EAD/AP/GC approved from CSC.

I am not saying Thanks and Good bye, As you see even after my GC I am still responding to your message. I am fully supporting the VI initiative. but the problem is that USCIS will do only what they think it is right and not what is really right. Me being in the Q for so long , I will never forget the Horrors of waiting for GC, even after getting the GC.
We as indians are divided lots in every area, we are like CRABS. certainly I am not one of those CRABS, My friends will give a ample proof about that.
In matter of fact, As a community, we are not PROUD about OURSELVES and our HINDU CULTURE, we cannot make any DHARMIC efforts to come under ONE UMBRELLA and fight for our cause. IV is one initiative, which is good but not enough, because do we get any help from our Indian Embassy or any Indian Organisation in America to support us, NEVER. this is because we DONOT LOOK UPTO OUR INNER VOICE AS HINDUS. I am not saying this to you in particular, I am referencing this as an INDIAN COMMUNITY. SO PLEASE NOTHING PERSONAL.
every one of us is a GOOD PRACTISING HINDU BECAUSE WE LIVE LIFE WITH OUR DHARMIC VALUES AND PRINCIPLES. IT IS TIME TO COME TOGATHER AND IMPLEMENT THOSE VALUES AS A HINDU SOCIETY.

Today I got a call from an officer in "immigration and customs enforcement" asking for an appointment to visit my residence for checing my immigration status.

My GC application is buried somewhere, had a vey bad week at work with piling up workload and closing on deadlines, my child as a cold, my neighbor's dog has an infection that shows up smelling foul in my front porch, it is going to snow and rain this weekend, May visa bulletin is released, EB-2 India has not moved up; topping all these there are some nimcompoohs here fighting out in a public forum about how incapable we all are to change the federal laws! God, have some mercy. Give some time to IV moderators and me some power to permanently ban these people to write to any immigration forums I read. At least give me my GC soon so I don't visit IV as often I do now and come across these kinds.
As two of the more senior members on this forum, please set a good example for others...not this.

members who are being silent because they received their EADs - therefore are ready to wait (long times if necessary.......)
members who are silent, because that is their nature or fear that active participation will somehow adversely affect them ............ this is bad, because they have nothing to fear and IV as an advocacy group will benefit tremendously for pushing for legislation/support of lawmakers - which will ultimately benefit us all.............
members who are anti immigrants, just reading all our posts, calculating our strengths and weaknesses and using it against us when the time comes.........
Wish I could convince every 45,000 or more members of this organization to be vocal and committed to participation.............
