Brush up your General Knowledge, look around you. If you see, there is a priority date on my post - Infy does not sponspor GC's, atleast not with those priority dates in EB2 category. Can you deduce what that implies?
You are thinking only about the small percentage of "lost Indians" (including me) who are in this mess - if you really think about your motherland (and mine), help guys like NRN get a good infrastructure in place. I understand that there is lot of fear among applicants that USCIS might retrogress the dates interimly sometime in july due to the expected high volume of applications filing in the begining of july.
To minimize the chance of USCIS from taking any such steps, shall we all unite and file the applications on a specific date in july probably on 30th of july? This will accomodate all applicants...so that we shall all be winners and use this opportunity to our advantage instead of competing amongst each other...where only a few will be winners and others will be loosers.
This will also reduce the pressure among applicants , attorneys and doctors.
Can the AILA cooperate? Will there be unity amongst applicants to make this possible??? any ideas ??

I applied in NSC 485/EAD/AP on July 27th. The case was transfered to CSC. 485 Application was then transfered to TSC from CSC but EAD and AP are being processed in CSC.

NY consulate is not the greatest but compared to Houston, it is fantastic. Recently I sent my papers for PIO to NY and they took their time but i did get it in 4 weeks time (their website says 2 weeks). I had to make multiple phone calls and if i used the automated system, it would take me to a phone that no one ever answered. If i went through the operator I was invariably forwarded to a wrong department or was told there is no one in the PIO department on that day!! But eventually, I did manage to reach the right person, who told me when to expect the passport and it did arrive in due course. I did send them multiple emails as mentioned at their web page that promised faster responses but till now I have not received any reply till date!
My friend had to send her papers to the consulate in Houston and it is absolutely horrible. Firstly, no one ever answers the phone at any of the listed numbers. An automated response asks you to wait in line and then after an extended duration, you are bumped back to the start of the line. No one replies to emails. Then they send back your passport on flimsy grounds without giving proper reasons. When you send it back, they find a new reason to send it back as my friend had to endure. Eventually, she had to find an 'agent' who charged her $1100 to get her PIO card which he did within a day. When asked to give the breakup of the costs, he said he has to bribe people in the consulate to get the job done.
So this in essence is the real reason why no one answers the phone in Houston or people are given the run about ..corruption. They want you to use the services of these agents who in turn bribe them and get the work done.

Instead you can have your negotiations with your Doctor and Hospital.
In Dallas (Las Collinas), if you dont have medical insurance, you can have an arrangement with the Doctor and Hospital.
Like one of my friend paid 3K for everything for Delivery + 5K I think for the hospitals. Ofcourse this is based on the delivery is not complicated / C-section couple of years ago.

Sats123, Chanduv23 is correct, also reading that with the paystubs you can avoid the employer letter saying that you work in such position and for such salary, finding out what position they used to file your labor (did you find it in the database on my previous post) and considering that you are about to get ripped off, it would be advisable that you go through that lawyer that someone was saying charges 1000 to file your papers and 500 for your spouse;

Now my hunch is that risk no. 1 is a low risk. Either the dates won't retrogress again, or even if they do, they will move forward in October again. So we can live with that.
Risk no. 2 is a bigger risk. But can USCIS take a decision on my I-485 petition so quickly. I don't think so. But if it does, then we lovers will be torn apart.
And lastly, has anybody ever heard of "Follow to join" procedure? What exactly is it and can we utilize it to our benefit?

The apparent wisdom seems to be that the application has to be done quite quickly, but I had read in one website that there is no time limit to apply (it is possible that the law changed in that regard; you need to seek a competent lawyer's advice and check the current rules). The increase in actual costs to applicants and petitioners will be only 66 percent, however, because applicants for adjustment of status will no longer be required to pay a fee to apply for interim benefits.
Currently, the I-485 fee is $325. The I-485 customer will also file an average of two Applications for Employment Authorization (I-765) and nearly half will file at least one Application for Travel Document (I-131), while an additional 20 percent of applicants will file a second. These additional ‘interim benefits’ applications allow applicants to work or travel while their status application is pending. The combined fee that applicants currently pay is approximately $800. The proposed fee structure will eliminate the need for applicants to have to pay these subsequent fees that result from processing delays. USCIS is proposing a $905 fee for the I-485 form. When considering the interim benefit fees paid by applicants, the increase for the I-485 is $105 instead of $580; therefore, the overall weighted average is reduced to 66 percent because adjustment of status applicants will pay approximately the same fee that is currently assessed when taking into account those associated ‘interim benefits’ that are paid over a multi-year time perio

India was demanding latest fighter jets (F-22) but US can offer only old version F-16,F-18 to India. Basic reason for US denial to latest technology because of India -US relation and their status .US only offers new technology to its close allys. I think it was prudent move from India’s part to get latest and greatest technology. To get these new technologies US congress needs to pass law and define India as close ally.
