What if he's working for a decent company, and the company had a LC available because one of their employees left? What would they do with the LC other than offer it to another deserving employee? And why shouldn't "sts_seeker" take it if it was offered through perfectly legal channels?
You guys have a problem when DOS/USCIS does something illegal. But you have a problem even when "sts_seeker" and his/her company did something perfectly legal!

Where did everyone get the 10 days estimate from??
As far as I read, the production date for the new system is 10/29.. So, maybe suprises in December bulletin.

I think there was slight movement for EB3 for China and for Mexico. Now, most EB3 categories are the same PD as ROW. Except India.
(sigh).
I was really hoping ROW would move at least a little. This is very discouraging.

Nothing sinister... she's still alive, married again... hope she's happy (we've spoken twice in10 years)...
Right after that I kinda had an epiphany about not liking who I was becoming, and saw it wasn't where she was going, so I left, at about 3:00 in the morning, with her ring in my hand (she threw it at me), and the clothes on my back...
We will just say my life became much more spiritual from that night on... :cool:

Hello Everyone,
I currently have an employment based I-485 application pending (EB3, India). My application was filed when I was single. Now my spouse is getting ready to file his 140/485concurrently (EB2 NIW, non-retrogressed country). Since I already have a pending 485 application, we do not plan on submitting another 485 application for me when he files his. My understanding is that once he receives his 485 receipt notice, we would just need to inform USCIS that both our 485 applications need to be merged (his being the primary, and mine being the derivative). I just wanted to confirm that this is correct, or if there is anything else that needs to be done.
Please advise.

Hi,
After reading about the pro's and cons of EAD e-file and paper based. I found that when you paper file I765, you DONOT get a fingerprinting notice and you DONT need to give FP. You will get your EAD directly. With e-file you dont send in the photos but u will have to go do the fingerprints and photo taken..
Can anyone confirm this?

I can confirm this based on recent chat with my attorney. Attorney e-filed my EAD without any photographs and I have already got FP notice in mail.

She will be going to full time dental school, and this course does not have credit system and it is flat 2 year course.
and for this course there is not in-state fee, fee is same for either for in-state resident or student coming from outsidde, this couse is specially desinged for internation trained dentist.
and mai reason is I want to change her status on F1 is , if by any reason if I am out of H1B she will be NOT effected and as well she will be eligible for part time work also and more important she will get 1 yr opt option at the end of course.

You can call UK consulate and ask them for this information. They have a paid phone service (~2 dollars per minute) available. If you do not mind me asking, why are you going through the pain of getting a transit visa?

I-140 Premium and I-1485 filed concurrently at NSC on June 29th. Received July 2nd. No clue if checks are encashed.

How do you know that your 485 was approved even if NC was pending? Does your GC - physical card or the approval notice/emails - indicate that your approval is contingent on NC?
The day before my approval email I spoke to an IO at NSC using POJ method. They said, my case has been assigned to an officer. when i asked my name check status, she said, 180 day rule you don't have to worry.

Welcome to my world - EB3 ROW. You may file your I-140 now and wait until your priority date becomes current to file I-485. But EB3 ROW is currently retrogressed and unless a legislation is passed to bring relief, you may not be able to file I-485 until about 4 years from today.
Believe me you are not alone. My employers filed in EB3 for me even though I have a Bachelor plus 20 years of IT experience.
Another option is to find another employer and job that meets EB2 requirements. I am seriously considering that in my case.

Congratulations! You and your wife are now Legal Permanent Residents of the United States! It has been confirmed this afternoon your I-485 applications were approved this week and your green cards have been ordered.
However, my online status did not change. My question is : Has USCIS stopped updating online status ? or Is this a mistake on my attorney's side ?
Can I do anything in the next 3 days to confirm what happened to my case ? Suggestions appreciated.
It is going to be a long long long weekend for us.
