It wouldn't have a chance when you started heavy multitasking and other real world tests. Then go ahead an move on to your games and if you had a real graphics card in the 867 it would beat the PC in that to all while it was burning a cd, getting mail, surfing the net, and making an iMovie. The biggest thing though is that even at 1600 most PC's do not include all the standard hardware that you get in a Mac.

That was the only one on Ebay I found. But I'm sure you could find one of these bags for under $50 somewhere.

Well.. I ordered the 320m Air yesterday, after reading up on the latest rumors. Maybe I will regret this but since I plan to do some basic 3D (Maya) modelling and opengl graphics development on the go, I figured the sandy bridge upgrade will actually be more of a downgrade.
We'll see.

-Religious Fanaticism (which generally correlates with a lack of education)
If you've ever seen Charlie Wilson's war you might recall one part at the end of the movie. Wilson was able to convince congress/senate etc. to allocate hundreds of millions of dollars to support the Afghan's fight against the Russians. But at the end of all this Wilson attempted acquire a mere million dollars to build schools and promote education in Afghanistan, he wasn't able to get this funding.
I believe Wilson's famous quote went something like:
"We did a great thing, but we fcked up the end game"
We live in a world where unfortunately violence is sometimes necessary. But violence doesn't "solve" problems, it can sometimes forestall a greater disaster. Unless you fortify violence with something positive (like education) you're simply opening the door to more (and often greater) violence in the future.
Ill agree with you on Lack of Education and Religious Extremism. Resentment, somewhat. I tend to think that if we just leave them the heck alone to do whatever they want and be as Shariah as they please we will see less terror attempts.

One part that struck my nerve was at the end when the doctors were removing the bandages from the patients eyes, one of the North Koreans first thing to do was go praise a poster of Ill and promise to "Destroy the american scum with my new eyes" or something like that, despite the fact that much of the equipment used to complete the surgeries was American made and American funded IIRC.

Here are some experts who have a very good understanding of the theories, and they think the "ideal" point on the laffer curve is a tax rate far higher than what we have now. In other words, lowering taxes lowers revenue, and the continued love affair the right has with lowering taxes to stimulate the economy is a fallacy.

I'm puzzled by why these apps all just tout iPhone compatibility. Why not also the iPad?
I have an iPad with 3G and the built-in map sucks (compared to my real Garmin Nuvi). I'd pay to have good navigation on it. So why the hate from Garmin?

4S. I like the name, and it makes sense to keep continuity with the previous naming scheme (3GS). I guess we'll see a true iPhone 5 next summer.

I got the 3.1 update yesterday, and I was getting push notifications with badges and alerts but not sound or vibration. I am positive that my silent/ringer switch was set to allow sound.
This morning I got the new 3.1.1 update. Immediately, I noticed that I started getting sound alerts and vibration in addition to the badges and alerts. Yay!
Oooh, what sound does it make? I'm always intrigued by new push notifications. I hope it's the noise the website makes. Pop!
