what address should i mail my I-131?. I did not file with my I485 application.there is a chicago address on form I131.should i mail it there?.

Your 180 days will be completed on 9th Feb 2008. I guess, if you can make sure that your company does not revoke your I-140 till Feb, you should be good. In the mean time, you can join another compny on EAD. I read somewhere in the forums that in case of layoffs (<180 days), one should get a letter from the company that states that they are laying you off NOT that you are resigning. This letter sometimes helps if USCIS issues RFE. This is my opinion and I am not a lawyer.

For example lets say my BRO gives the interview to US embassy on 2nd Dec. and then leaves for Pakistan on 4th Dec (since the actual time of administrative processing is unknown)
Bad idea to leave after two days. He should allow for 3 business days at least and then go to Pak.
I had my visa stamping done in Canada this summer and got the visa in 2 business days. My appointment was Wednesday and got the passport with visa stamped on Friday afternoon . This is the best case scenario.

That's what we need to do in these forums.
You see, I tried to follow the second link; it didn't work. I tried the first link. It took me to a web site that is totally disorganized and poorly built; I dont have time to navigate and see what you posted about.
After this second corrected post, I follow the link. It is NOT about the CIR and the logjam; it is an attempt to arrive at an agreement to have a working methodology to verify and check illegal immigrants.
Hence, my title: please read and post your opinion, instead of just posting thie links or the story.

Personally, I don't think it matters whether an applicant is direct employee or works for a consulting company. If it was indeed true, then people would start jumping on the direct client bandwagons :D

abc corporation is abc corporation. what OP was implying was that employees at companies with well established brand names would get it faster. but there are thousands of legitimate companies in various fields other than software that have 0 brand recognition outside their industry.

I applied I-140 with a substitution labor in May'07. Then I applied I-485 on July2nd,2007. Got EAD on Aug20th. Two months back my I-140 was approved. Now I am on EAD. I am working with a very good financial corporation which they are asking me to join as full-time from Jan1st2008. I told my manager that I can join as a full-time from Feb20th 2008. Can any one throw some light on these doubts?
1. What happens if I move before 180 days of EAD to this new company and send AC21 to USCIS after finishing 180 days on EAD?
2. If I moved after 180 days what kind of queries we get from USCIS on AC21?
3. Do we need to make sure my employer also agrees what we are doing? What kind of documents we need from the existing employer?
4. Does my new company has to give same exact responsibilities as my labor certificate?
I would appreciate if any one replies to these posts. Thanks in advance.

My online status has been showing 'Finger printing fee rejected and case now in suspense' since july 2006 although i had my FP done in Aug 2006.
I've called customer service many time to correct this issue but no luck so far. Also my attorney sent mail/follow up with USCIS and it did help either.
Now i've stopped looking at on-line status....

Go to rite-aid & they are really cheap if you are looking to save some money.I went to Kinkos & the lady said it would cost around $65 for me & my wife ( 8 copies each ) , Now she herself suggested that I should save some money & try some other place like CVS, or Rite-Aid
I went to rite-aid & paid approx $15 for me & my wife ( 8 copies each )

This is just USCIS backlogs, DOL is a separate agency and the labor backlogs do not count in this.

not true,, the DOL does not do labor certification for backlogged cases anymore..this work has been transferred over from the State workforce agencies/state departments of labor to the backlog reduction centers..So....while, the DOL is a seperate agency, the labor backlogs is no longer handled by them, it is handled by the BPC..

Both of the following are about 500KB, so beforewarned...
I put a smaller beetle macro into the front-page gallery area, but here's a couple others.
1 Upclose and personal with a dandelion.
2. The same lens, used conventionally for a landscape. I printed this out at 19x13 and it's going to get framed.
Nice shots.......... I like the close ups with Macro, and also the landscapes with the old buildings overrun with ivy
