Most of the comments here I feel are due to the old saying!
"A BAD CRAFTSMAN ALWAYS BLAMES HIS TOOLS"
I know allot of people that do amazing stuff with FCP, Motion & Shake (myself included) :p
The conversation isn't really about the tools but the tool maker.

Can't decide between here with the easy parking but longer queues or the many shops of middlesbrough and being stuck in town at hours I'd rather not.

Again, i said it happens regardless of what they're wearing, but i was talking about reducing the chance of sexual assault. No, you said (above) that men would "stop the sexual assaults".

how do you automatically subscribe to any thread you reply to?
is there a way to set it to just automatically subscribe every time you post?

Why don't they just admit it. It's a security patch. Every small patch released in between full digit numbers tend to be security patches. The next real update will be 5.0.

I didn't get a 4 because I was holding out for a bigger screen. I really want to keep buying Apple products. But at this point, if the phone is delayed or the screen is staying the same size, I am going to have to start checking out some of the HTCs. My 3G is almost unusable since OS4.Enjoy! HTC looks a very capable phone. Cheers! It sounds like you need an upgrade, too. I'm on the original iPhone — but I know whatever I buy will have to do me for 2-3 years so I'm waiting on iPhone 5, no matter what.
Good, bad, right or wrong, Apple [...] it rolls out its "cloud." [...] flips the switch [...] No iPhone until late fall at earliest. Probably not until next year.Nice insight... your sources?
-------
I can understand frustration — feeling it too, just not venting — the tea leaves all pointed to new iPhones in June and then, Blammo. But we have to realize that Apple does not want to be predictable. We don't really know just exactly how the JAPAN devastation affected Apple and how it will deliver its products. That could be very well what has delayed things. If this is the case, patience is all we can give anybody at this point. They lost so much.

well, i'd just pop Photoshop open for the task. but free programs? not sure...
What you maybe could do with GraphicConverter (I haven't used it in forever, so i'm not sure what it can do) is make your whole photo grayscale, then bring in parts of the photo (a copy, rather) in color and paste them over top...

I've currently got a 2008 2.66GHz C2D 20" iMac and I'm wanting to upgrade the RAM from 2x1GB to 2x2GB.
I have a way of getting 2x2GB RAM modules from a 2011 MacBook Pro but I want to know if the RAM is compatible.
The RAM from the MacBook is Hynix 2 x 2GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM.
Will this work in a 2008 iMac?
If it won't work what sort out RAM do I need?
Thanks

Well that was fun ....
I am not entirely sure everything is running right, i am doing one work unit every 26 hours on the mac... its the SMP client and its a dual core 2.8ghz .. i get the feeling if i were running it on my bootcamp partion it would be better plus then i could utilize the graphics processer as well
however i installed ubuntu on the other 3.06ghz pc and well lets say that folding doesn't like it ... so i am now installing open Suse... so far so good ...

Definitely won't be doing GPU folding on this guy. The forcegpu ati_r800 flag does let it work and it goes fast, about 1:40 per 1% on p5733 but the fan throttles up past 50% on the card and it is pretty noticeable (sounds like a little vacuum). And it steals about 12% of the available cpu power. Plus it burns a lot of electricity. I'll do my oneunit and get back to cpu only. I'll let you know how that goes later.

FCP is definitely NOT the current standard. Avid is still the winner here. I currently run Avid, premiere CS5 and FCP. Avid being my go to. Those of you thinking about switching to premiere, i urge you to look at media composer 5.
Avid has some of the most sophisticated cutting tools I have ever seen.
I've used it back during the Express DV days and was so impressed with how perfectly you could cut with it.
Other programs were more useful for effects, but as an editor Avid was tops.
It's a shame that apple has let FCP slide into such out of date condition.

In hindsight, I think I may have been high on Vegemite when I posted this. On that note, I'm gonna go eat some Vegemite.Could we use that on some of the bad users? I've heard that it can also be used as road and roof patch. :pNow there's an idea for a new Ramen Noodle flavoring packet. :o

Hey All!
Lately ive been looking for a download of the album, pocketwatch as i don't particularly feel like spending thousands of dollars for an original copy. Do any of you know anywhere i can find a download that works, a lot of the ones i've tried to use don't work at all. Or if any of you have a copy please could you upload it or send it to me? (not the original of course!)
Thank you in advance :) of someone could help me i would be the most grateful person ever! :D

It's a little early for a Halloween shot, but I'm getting a jump on it. Still hunting for a good Halloween Mail.app icon, though. Not sure what to do with trash, yet. So, I guess it's kind of a WIP desktop.
