I would love something along the lines of a nano that made phone calls. I could even do without the numeric pad.
I'm with you. I already catched myself looking up a number in my nano's address book ("contacts") and looking for the "call" item. I'd love to have the main menu going "Music \n Phone \n Phone \n Extras etc." But the nano might actually be a little small for a phone. Try holding one at your ear for a minute. How about an add-on that you plug in on the bottom via the dock connector? Makes the thing a little longer and you can just upgrade your iPod. Kinda like the iTrip, but in the exact same design as the iPod itself.

I wouldn't necessarily call concentrating on one thing a fixation, and even if it is, who cares? If you're constantly photographing what you enjoy, eventually you see more and more details to express through your photographs. Just enjoy! And share!

After that branch onto another concept, or combine concepts to form something new and different.
Get lost in the world of gear. Spend your time reading about the specs of forthcoming cameras and lenses, instead of actually taking pics. Denigrate the gear you have; fantasise about a fancier camera. That would make you a better photographer, surely? ;)

Nonetheless, it is true that Wintel users can have greater speed and great stability on their machines. Thirdly, I think Motorola is keeping up with (the bastardaized interpretation of) Mohr's Law over the past year or two. The problem is that somewhere between their speed superiority and today, they lost ground.
I love Apple, but if they don't find a way to catch up, they're dead in the water.

4S. I like the name, and it makes sense to keep continuity with the previous naming scheme (3GS). I guess we'll see a true iPhone 5 next summer.

I think this is actually kind of a cool idea. I've done that before where I've been somewhere, and then finding out that my friends were there and all that good stuff. If you have your own close knit friends, no one is going to break into your house when you're gone, and as far as the privacy rights go, why post something you don't want everyone to see? I mean really lol

Unless the microgenetics machines are small, well, there are several stages in DNA transcription and reverse transcriptase, which would make several conditions unsuitable. Heat destroys it. It can be awfully slow. There are at least 6 stages using different equipment.

I added an addendum for the technologically impaired to the lifehacker article posted a few times on how to shut it down on the iPhone, which evidently you have to do separately if you use the app. Posted on my business' Facebook page, oh the irony! It's fairly simple to disable and render ineffective(though sadly not "shut off" per se).

Um, no it doesn't Fuji S1, S2, S3 RAW Files are not supported. This camera is used by more wedding photographers than any other.

PCs are great. Macs, IMO, are better, but that is just opinion.
I am definitely not a mac bigot. I am a person who has used
both platforms extensively, have weighed their pro's and con's,
and like a mac more. I am currently running on a PC because
I couldn't afford a mac, which btw is the biggest downside to
macs - affordability. Does SJ really think that a 16 year old who
has to pay for his own computer will be able to afford a mac?
Yes, PCs are cheap (my computer is a testament to that), but
they are anything but perfect. The same goes for mac (well,
the anything but perfect part ;)).
Arguing which is better is stupid, pointless, and impossible. For
reasons like:
* There is no right or wrong opinion
* It depends what you grew up using
* Both have advantages to different people with different occupations
* Both have pro's and con's.
And mac users who say ignorant things because of their zealotry
annoy me just as much, if not more, than they do you, and vice
versa. As long as you acknowledge that both options have their
advantages, and both are better for different people, then I have

OK, now that we'll have iPod integration on flights from major airlines... And there's talk of broadband access in-flight at some point in the near future. Hmmm... I can see it now. Steve's plan is to have the iPod integration in place so that the next time I'm on a 14 hour flight, I have nothing to do but play with my iPod and shop the iTunes store. ...World domination, one small step at a time.
