Wow! Impressive work from Adobe.
You know, I was around in the mid-80s when the mouse and GUI first hit the market, and I recall the bickering amongst my fellow computer geeks about whether one could do real work with these new "toy" computers (which didn't phase me as I was also interested in desktop publishing and could sense where it was going.) Back then, there were merits to both sides of that debate, but over time, it's become clear that the mouse+GUI was far more powerful and flexible than at first perceived by the geek crowd.
I'm starting to see a lot of parallels between the touch interface devices and those days in the 80s. Every time I see/hear some geek declare the iPad a toy and useless for real work, I just think back to those days when my geek friends sneered at the Macs with the silly mouse and pretty GUI and wonder if history is repeating itself.
And then I see things like what Adobe is doing and I know it for a fact. We're seeing another revolution in computing happen, but most people won't acknowledge it for many years, until it's beyond obvious.

I recently updated to 4.3.2, and whenever I try to apply a lockscreen theme I get this result:
http://i51.tinypic.com/28aupaf.png
The regular slide to unlock image is always there no matter which theme I choose. Is this a problem with 4.3.2? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Been waiting for an update from these guys for awhile, hadn't checked their site in a week or 2 and looked today and saw some new pics finally:
http://www.peel520.net/news/apple-peel-520-2nd-generation-latest-updates/
The case looks really good (very iPhone 4-esque). This version works only with iPod Touch 4G - I'm definitely going to try this when it gets released.
EDIT: wrong forum, sorry!

Well i can find the app in the store via search, but when I try to "click" the app to go the screen to buy it, my iPhone tells me "Your request cannot be completed".
I find it extremely lame that others can already download this app, yet for some reason I cannot. WTF Apple?

I used SnowTunes Noir (http://cristomac24.deviantart.com/art/SnowTunes-iTunes-OS-X-theme-141310715) (it's part of the download, there's three versions in one installer, both Noir and HUD are dark, just different styles). It's been working well for a long time now.

thanks, I will try that out!!!

If this is from their website, what is their issue with letting users opt-out in their iPad app?
If you have doubts that this from their website why don't you check (two clicks away from ft.com)?
It is about two things:
(a) Knowing their demographics
(b) Being able to communicate directly with their customers, even if is only about new features or special offers (there are two checkboxes, people might agree to first one but not the second one, Apple with its great simplicity won't allow such differentiated options)

For the icons I am using Flurry (http://iconfactory.com/search/freeware/flurry) for my entire system. There is a total of 5 packs you can find in that link. And for others like specific folders and apps you can find a lot on DeviantArt (http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/icons/?qh=§ion=&q=flurry)
As for the stacks list view I use Tinkertool (http://www.bresink.com/osx/TinkerTool.html). Its a free app for accessing hidden OS X features, just click on the "dock" tab and beside "stacks" tick off "use large, grid-like style for list view"
Great cheers! Can't believe I'd never heard of TinkerTool before. Thanks man much appreciated.

Hi all. Help with iCal please. Why does iCal automatically clear past events from calendar? My travel dates and flights for work have all disappeared. It is important that I can look back for reference for taxes, etc. Help!

As far as putting limitations on digital content, that's their right. It is _their_ content. If they make the wrong decision, they'll come around when someone smarter makes the right one.
I think this is just the point. Thay have made the wrong decisions. Again and again. We now have a situation where all of the DRM incentives so far actually stimulate piracy. Because circumventing the rights management results in a better consumer experience.
Here's an example.
I own hundreds of DVDs - I was a classic early adopter. I like to get movies early. I live in the UK and the movie studios like to release movies later in Europe. So I own a large collection of Region 1 DVDs. I also rent a lot of DVDs perhaps 3 or 4 per week. These are all Region 2.
But the DVD drives in Apple computers are all region-locked. Five changes and that is it. So you have to pick. Rented disks or dvd collection.
So thanks to a studio-imposed attempt to control the market. They are undermining my legitimate enjoyment of my own movie collection. I do not feel grateful to them for this. It might be their right - but it is morally wrong.
As a customer I resent their interference. I regret paying for so many disks because my experience has been soured. If you are a loyal customer, your loyalty should be rewarded and not punished.
The way to beat piracy is to identify loyal paying customers, and guarantee them a better, more convenient, more rewarding experience. Send them newsletters. Give paying customers free iPod versions. Give them behind the scenes extras. Shiny boxes, free competitions. Reward them for paying.
But instead they are so terrified of piracy, that publishers are willing to ruin the experience of paying customers in the impossible hope that it will slow down the access of non-paying customers.
Consumers punish this sort of behavior. And they have a right to do that - even if its only a moral right and not a legal right.

Wow, $25 an hour sounds very reasonable to me. Is that really the going rate for graphic design or is that the "just getting started in design" rate? Anyway, hope it works out for you. Sometimes the difficult clients can provide the most rewarding work, but the psycho ones are seldom worth the effort.

You can remove your recommendation (set the rank to "Del")

Eventually, we can purge them.
