So is it safe to assume that the extended H1B will not get invalidated even though the basis of extension was approved I-140 + pending I-485 and later the I-485 got denied.
Going to the original question. The H1B doesnt get invalidated.
The rules and available interpretations and memos talks only about the condition to "grant the extension". No where it mentioned a condition to invalidate an already granted extension.

GC is for the future job and hence if your prospective employer will be able to proceed with your GC in your absence till its very end then you should be fine and still be able to come into US as a GC holder when GC is offered to you. However in this case you can't do Adjustment of status since you willn't be staying inside US and hence have to opt for Consular processing if you haven't opted for Consular processing.

Thanks for the advices. I was more worried about any negative issues on my current 485 if I block the payment on my second set of checks. I think USCIS also will be fined if the checks bounce. I called customer support and they told me that the money would not be refundable but you can withdraw your application by writing a letter.
If I do not block my checks my worry is that it might create duplicate cases.

The only time they keep an original is the first time. After that they never keep the original but return it to you when you return.
My wife and I only had 2 AP originals when we applied last year and made 2 trips outside the US. So relax and dont worry. You're fine.

A similar situation happened to a friend of mine. It is very easy, talk to a good lawyer and you should have them very soon..

My apologies if everyone is sick of looking at my flower images. This bloom is from what we call spider plants. They're a unique very open bloom with just a few petals and long stamens/anthers. Separating out one bloom and getting enough DOF proved very difficult to impossible. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Sounds like a good idea...for those of us who missed the summer 2007 bus, this may be the only way of getting to an EAD status in the near future, going by the recent Visa bulletins and retrogression of EB2 & non-availability of EB3 year-round.
I am thinking to start solid campaign for EAD and AP when pre filling for 485. Its in very begining stage. Once I get how many can join hand we can start a funding drive and some aggressive campaign for it. DHS and DOL are studing how to resolve this on going problem for Highly Skilled immigrants.at the end of day admin may come with pre filling for highly skilled.

Do do your DD before signing on the dotted line. esp if the company is offering 1/2 mil for $22, I will check the ratings of such companies. Of course you want to make sure they are around when it is time to pay.

Getting the driver's license is not the problem, I know it will come. Problem here is why I cannot drive outside SC for up to 60 days waiting for the DL card? Remember I've to surrender my old SC license. This is serious limitation to my work, e.g. I need to go to Atlanta on 08/19 and I cannot drive there.
In September I will go to Italy, what if I don�t get my DL till then?

On Checking the SC dmv site and it is interesting to note that non-citizens are not allowed to renew their license online. I guess this is the result of illegal immigration reform thing which is now a part of so many states along with SC. And I think they are running background checks against the legal status of any non-citizen folks. My take would be that you should consider meeting the senator and explaining the issue. They can basically expedite the process so that you wont have to wait for a long time.

I thank you all for your encouraging and kind response.
The new job I have is like a contract job to a client. A big consulting firm has hired me. So, I have not yet spoken to them about any letters that I may require in future should there be an RFE.
My situation was very desperate to get a job...i was without job for more then 3 months and its hard to run a family...and I came to the point where we were planning to return back home....but I got the job just in the last minute, i must say....The requirement for the job was, only GC or Citizens. I told them I am on EAD they said fine we can take you as long as we don't have to sponsor you....So, I took it.
The other issue is, I am getting paid far less then what I used to get. ..so, I don't know if that's acceptable or not with regards to the GC process.
But the work is same. What I used to do earlier, I am doing the same kind of job here with the new client.
So, all these factors has caused lot of confusion in my mind whether to continue with old address or not. I still have 2 more months on the lease for the old apt address...so I got some more time to think about this job.

4. Cashiers cheque as stated in the form.
Send all this in and wait. You dont need an attorney to do this. This is really a simple procedure.
