If the sale takes place, it probably will be bought by either a Chinese or Indian company. Some dumb anti-immigrationists will try to block legal migration every possible way when most of their companies are either taking jobs overseas or getting sold to foreign companies. Go and find the source of what has destroyed the economy and try to fix it. No foreigner has ruined the economy.

The application finally goes to the service center who has adjudiciated the 140, if one's 140 is LIN the AOS 485 will go finally to NSC, it will stay pending over there untill the visa bulletin becomes current for that Priority Date.

Sad to see students being punished like this. They are just taking advantage of the system and make some money, but not doing anything illegal. That's what we are all here for right? Make some money. If enrolling for F1 and working somewhere else is against rules, then why did USCIS issue F1 and CPT to the students.

Your need to also wish that legal immigration issue is included in the bill as senators might CIR at the expense of the legal immig issue......you do not provide them the votes they need

What you are saying..about consulting companies not having a "job" at hand to offer is the mis-use of the Visa. Regarding "job at hand", as long as the company is paying wages to the employee from day1, there should not be an issue. H1B laws don't say you have to have an end client to sponsor an H1. Employer needs to pay the employee from day1. That is it. Only outsourcing companies can guarantee an end client.
Don't site examples of companies that are not following rules to make a point.

very well said goel.. I said the same thing to IV and I got God knows how many reds. The only time I saw a huge impact was after July fiasco but again it was not IV's alone effort, many other organizations were included.
Honestly IV is a great platform to help members with their questions and exchange knowledge about immigration topics but nothing more.. I don't expect the founders to leave their full time jobs to address immigration issues as without a job they won't have any immigration issues.
To people who say that illegals have huge support and resources that is because they have lobby money from businesses who need cheap labor, lawyers who need new clients and politicians who need (future) votes..
In our case business know that first we are not any cheap and second they can move the jobs overseas.. Lawyers already know that they have us by the b***s and politicians flip - flop depending on who they talk to (citizens or us).

What has been achieved by IV till date? I know we all meet elected reps, officials in washington dc ..... but I am interested in end result like not wasting visa numbers , implementing spillover & along these lines.
I have asked few friends to join IV but then if they ask me for IV accomplishments - i can't count any....

According to the 2005 memorandum, it was possible to change employers even if the 140 was not approved. But it was clear that an RFE that was not responded to, would deny everything.

Let us see if we can get at least 200 people who vote on this. Many the great souls are talking about complaining to USCIS about EB1s getting GCs using shortcuts. Some of them suggested LET US write to ombudsman office and USCIS & blah blah. Let us see how many folks come forward and vote for this.

I am bumping up this discussion.
1. After quick scan of PMBOK3, I am unable to find "software project" specific management processes in PMBOK. (except few words here and there).
2. Few months back, I talk to an Architect who has run through PMBOK. He rates it is closer to junk.
3. Today, I talked to non PMP "software project" manager. he says PMP is off in most of the areas in SP and not needed.
Or am I missing some thing?
Please note: I am not looking for generic management here( I am a MBA thank you ). I am not against reading PMBOK. All I want to know is the relationship between “software project” and PMP and the practical advantage of PMP certificaiton in day2day work.

This is what you can do - Both in Mumbai and in Delhi, you have USCIS approved doctors who help people going through CP. In other words those who choose to go through emp based CP or family based Green Card which US embassy issues, go through Indian hospitals in Mumbai and Delhi.
