However, this article (http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1062325) said that we'll need 1 zettaflops for full weather simulation. That's 10^21 operations/second!
10^21 operations per second and it'll still be wrong.
I don't think the weatherman is shaking in his boots just yet.:D

According to the timeline (http://terminator.wikia.com/wiki/Terminator:_The_Sarah_Connor_Chronicles_timeline) of The Sarah Connor Chronicles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminator:_The_Sarah_Connor_Chronicles), tomorrow is Judgment Day.
Yesterday, April 19, Skynet went online at 20:11. Tomorrow, April 21, Skynet will become self aware and attack us. We'll lose over a billion people but some of us will survive to fight back.
Even though the TV show was canceled, I haven't seen any notice that Judgment Day has been canceled, so I assume Skynet is now operating.
Who's ready for the battle? I'm arming myself with a pocket protector and an anti-static wrist band.

Well I hope I get a WD one too :)
I always had WD drives (good experience results in staying with the brand:D) but I never had a Seagate so I didn't know which of the two were better.

I wonder if cuda would run on the 9400? graphics chip? that would help get some extra ppd. Too bad you can't change graphics boards in that monster iMac, it seems like it could use faster graphics for that large monitor.
yeah i know. a better video card option would be nice
I've been doing nothing but GPU folding even with a Q6600 or Core i5 750. :(
what card do you have?
I predict 45 mins per frame, 15k PPD.
but wouldn't 45 min a frame take about 3.125 days to complete, plus the upload time, so about 3.15 days? wouldn't you still get a bonus for that?

Nice picts Ward, can you get 8-10 hrs on the batteries?
I used to love playing crystal quest on my MacPortable.
I'm sure you are running some AfterDark screen savers as well.
Does anyone remember the "Barney Blaster" screen module?
I was NOT allowed to play that in front of my young nieces/nephews back then.

Ward;
just saw your other thread. You gotta show some AD screen saver picts!!

Hmm, I personally think that you can still use the Elevator comfortably, as it's only 5 inches high. You could also connect a wireless keyboard + mouse if that would be more comfortable.
I have just purchased an apple wireless keyboard and magic mouse, I think I'm going to get the griffin and purchase a 23" apple display with some money I saved for an iPad 2 but never got due too the rumors of the 3 coming out in less than a year

Hey,
I Used To Play This Game For Hours On PC And On Playstation, I Think Its Great That They have Realeased It Onto A More Up-To-Date Console And Its Great With The Touch-Go Use, It Takes Full Advantage of The DS And Still Keeps The Game Going As The PC,Playsation Version.
I Was Expecting The DS Version To Be Much More Difficult To Use, Seeing Theres Less Buttons And Small Screen But It Works Really Well For It!
If You Dont Have It then I Recomend You Go Out And Buy It :)
For Those That Love This Game Lots Like I Do I have Created A Special Forum For Fans :)

There's probably no point in preserving seeing as how if the team releases the unlock, it will most likely unlock the whole series of iPhone 4 basebands.

It may have something running in the background that prevents the automatic sleeping. Check system prefs, accounts, your account, login items to see if it starts up automatically at login. If it does, select that and click the minus button. You can also check activity monitor to see if there are programs running in the background keeping it awake.

Yes, I wouldn't have got it if it didn't
Even before I ordered my mac I knew I would need extension cables for the ACD because I read posts on how short the monitor's cables were and also saw it in the local Apple store. I contacted Dr. Bott to confirm their mDP cable supported audio passthrough.
FWIW: I bought my Dr. Bott cables from here:
http://www.macproonline.com/Dr-Bott-Mini-DisplayPort/Displays/Accessories-for-your/-p8236146.html
I got it from Mac-Pro because (a) they were hard to get at the time (even Dr. Bott itself didn't have any, which apparently is the case even now -- just checked the 2m on their site (http://www.drbott.net/product/9378-MDEB/)) and (b) I found a bunch at Mac-Pro which is fairly close to where I live. Heh, the price there now looks a buck or two cheaper then I paid at the time!
Editorial: Many of the ads for these kind of cables are, IMO, incomplete since they also come with USB. So when they advertise the cable supports audio (generally they say "Audio and video passthrough" if they say anything at all) you can't tell for sure if the mDP supports audio in addition to the USB which of course supports audio. So what I do when faced with ambiguities is contact the manufacturers directly.
At least Monoprice, my preferred (first choice) place for ordering cables, is honest to say up front that their mDP cables don't support audio. They're a great place to order cables if the cables fulfill you needs.
thanks for your help. I just got a 2010 quad which i will upgrade the cpu to a hex in a month or so. I also got a 27acd .. nice monitor .. kinda miss the 30acd i used to have but decided to get the 27 instead. I have no idea why apple makes these cables so damn short. I might pick up a second monitor so i guess i will need two sets.

Just called the Emeryville Apple store, and asked them if I could camp out there. They said they don't care but that I should check with Bay Street security. They gave me the number. The lady I talked to said that no camping is allowed on the sidewalk or street and police will be out that night. The time people can start lining up is at 7am. I called the Apple store on Powell in San Francisco and they said it no problem, no one ever gets bothered. Guess thats where I will be!
