Arse to that.
There will be plenty of stock to go round, so no idiot e-Bay price inflation.
Actually I'm hearing the black one will be extremely limited. The normal white one in quantity to quickly follow.

I did not know these existed, and actually do not think they are a bad idea if you are the type to take your gear outside in inclement weather.

I wonder if cuda would run on the 9400? graphics chip? that would help get some extra ppd. Too bad you can't change graphics boards in that monster iMac, it seems like it could use faster graphics for that large monitor.
yeah i know. a better video card option would be nice
I've been doing nothing but GPU folding even with a Q6600 or Core i5 750. :(
what card do you have?
I predict 45 mins per frame, 15k PPD.
but wouldn't 45 min a frame take about 3.125 days to complete, plus the upload time, so about 3.15 days? wouldn't you still get a bonus for that?

TEK - QUESTION - the glue...you can use standard rubber cement? It doesn't have to be a special kind of thermal glue or anything??
I have not had a problem yet. You use thermal paste when attaching a heat sink because the compound actively assists in transferring heat away from the processor and to the heat sink.
The purpose of adhering the heat sensor is only to keep it in contact with the part that is being monitored. As long as the adhesive doesn't break down in nasty ways under 60C - 90C then all should be fine.
I am using standard Elmers rubber cement. $1.44 for a jar at wally world.

Hi,
so I am going to be working from home, and so will be typing away at my keyboard from 9 to 5 everyday. My current keyboard is the Apple pro but my enter key is not as smooth as I wish it to be, it seems to get stuck halfway and I will need to exert more strength to press it. Also I do not feel good typing on it. Therefore I was looking for an enjoyable keyboard. I like the feel of my powerbook keyboard, I can type fast although with errors as sometimes I press to lightly as I kind of underestimate the strength needed. I am a touch typist so I type pretty fast. I also found out about the Matias tactile pro, although I have never tried one of those mechanical keyboards, I will imagine it to be a real pleasure, especially the sound when you type fast. It will be like making music while you code. However I am worried that over long hours the tactile pro will cause my finger to ache as they seem to imply that I need more strength to type. On the other hand, the icekey should reduce aches when you type long hours as you need to use less strength.
I do know that they are both extreme ends of the range of keyboards, shallow vs deep, soft vs loud. But I can't get my hands on any of them in the shops here in the uk, and so have to rely on your kind souls who have experience with them to advise me as to which one I should go with.
Thank you very much. Sorry for my long long post. :p

I have a listing on ebay for my new iPod Shuffle, 1 GB. It is new, and this is a great price for anyone interested in the Shuffle. I will ship USPS Priority Mail for free also.
Here is the link to the ebay auction;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5837007636
Also, only PayPal is accepted for this auction. I have a 100% feedback rating and score of 103, so you know I will take good care of you. I will ship out within 24 hours also.
It sold within 2 hours. I guess someone thought it was a great price.

Budget - I would like to keep it under $800
Lighting conditions - should be very good as I will normally be shooting in daylight and clear weather.
Mics - I don't have any but will get whatever is required. I was going to add most of the audio after the fact for clarity's sake.
Edit - Not sure. Whatever is most friendly and easy to work with.
Output - This will be video content for my website.
Basically...I am a contractor that wants to post of some video of completed jobs with some audio about what we do and why.Ive actually had decent results with the GoPro as far as a cheap camera goes. With your above requests that camera would suffice. However I wouldnt use it for ENG, Docs (well maybe as B-roll) or anything thatll need low-light.
Now of your budget is over 1k then we can talk better cameras ;)
Currently testing a Sony PMW-F3. Its the new Sony HD camera that can handle all kinds of lenses (PL yada yada).
We generally use the high-end stuff here at work e.g. RED MX but at times we have to purchase and assess lower end cameras for other depts.

May Cpl Buckles rest in peace. The lack of respect for the WW I monument in Washington is a crime. I hope the national press has the respect to cover his funeral which should be at Arlington.

I hate Spymac. They aut' to be ashamed of themselves for doing this. They're going to charge for documentation when anyone can go there and post pictures for free. They definitely have the wrong priorities.

One suggestion: open the known-working Xcode 3 project in Xcode 4. Build it. Make sure it works.
If it works, then use it as a known-good reference to check the non-working project.
If it doesn't work, then figure out why it works in Xcode 3 but not in 4. It may be an Xcode problem, or it may be a faulty assumption in the project that just happens to work in 3 but not in 4.

True... unfortunately, I'm not sure what's possible, so I don't really know!
I should imagine the G5 could act as some kind of central storage for the other Macs for iTunes, Photographs etc - but that's just some kind of glorified NAS box. I'm just curious at this point really, how else could it be used?

Forgive me if this has been answered before.
Just wondering why there isn't a Marketplace or a Buy/Sell forum on here?
Was there one before? Is there one now and I'm just not seeing it?
Just been curious as to why there isn't one. I'm sure lots of members have a bunch of goodies they want to get rid of and people are always in the market for new toys and gadgets.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on the situation for me.
Thanks.

Apple is not falling behind!
Okay so there chip technology is a little below the bar of the other generic drones.
But everything else there doing is way ahead of everyone else.

I'd buy a DSi if I was buying for 1 game. We have them for sale for around €100 brand new now. Considering 3DS is retailing at €260 here that's one hell of a difference.
DSi = 13 hour battery life, less than 1/2 price
3DS may be more powerful, but 2.5-3 hour battery life & twice the price to do what?
play a game designed for the ds. It seems like a poor trade off.
I've heard that DS games get 5-7 hours battery life on the 3DS. I guess it doesn't need the same GPU and the 3D effect also chops down battery times (with 3D off 3DS games get hours more life).
I am playing Black on my DS Lite right now. I can tell it wasnt designed for the screen on the Lite though, as in battle the lettering in the pokemon names is really cramped.
There's no resolution difference between the Lite and the DSi. The problem in Pokemon is the text is just really tiny, in-battle character names are 3 pixels wide. They'll be 3 pixels wide no matter what display. W looks like a H even on a DSi XL! It was a really poor choice of font.
