sparky_jones: can you give us your write up to USCIS regarding this missing field information. What was in the letter regarding this field. I plan on sending a letter to them providing this information.
I attached a sheet of paper to my supporting documentation with the following heading in bold: "Correction Requested for e-Filed Form I-765
Receipt # ***-**-****"
Below that, I simply put the following statement:
"Please update Item 12 �Date of Last Entry into the US� for Form I-765 to **/**/****. This field was omitted during the e-Filing process."

I keep reading about how immigrants are important and pay taxes and contribute to the economy so they should be given rights/important and all that. There was even a thread that said if GCs were given to EB based immigrants the housing problem could be solved because of this buying power. STOP IT.
The US does not need you, you need the USA. No one put a gun to your head and told you to come to the USA, you chose. You need to follow the tax laws so roads and other sevices you come to this country for can be maintained. Your buying power is less than 1% of the US economy. The laws do NOT prohibit you from buying property here so you can buy a house without GC.
So STOP trying to potray it like you are doing a favor to the USA. Be realistic and solve the real problems instead of trying to find loopholes of hw to get the US govt. to give you GCs.

Besides calling USCIS at the number given above, you might want to raise this issue in the Ombudsman's conference call on Friday. Receiping Delays is already an agenda item. Details are as below:

Guys,
The timing of this visa bulletin is suspicious. Right at the nick of time, when the senate is discussing increasing EB quotas, this news comes in. Plus they are saying that there will be forward movement, in the EB cut-off dates in the coming months to rhyme with the current negotatitions in Congress on CIR/ SKIL.
IV should not step behind in their legislation efforts. Even, if visa bulletin dates are current today, they might retrogress later, when the I-485 application starts to process (Current I-485 processing time shows applications processing as of Sept. 10, 2006, which is 8 months before). No one knows, if eight months from now, the cut-off dates will retrogress further or advance, due to the BEC closing out in Sept. 2007 and PERM applications processed from March 2005 onwards.

sent to USCIS Texas on June 29, received on JUly 2nd at 10:25 AM. no receipts and no checks cashed yet. the USCIS receipting notice Texas said that they have finished receipting July 2 appl. what happened to our appl then?
pls anyone who filed july 2 at texas and with the same info who got their cks cashed and receipts rec, kindly share here. tnx!

Can you tell me that which education evaluator you use for that? I might can refer my lawyer to him.
I had my diploma in Mechanical engineering (3 - Years) and B.E. in mechanical engineering. My job requirements were Bachelor's Degree plus five years experience. I don�t remember evaluations agency name now but I will get that for you tomorrow.

According to my experience it doesnt make a difference whom you contact. I would suggest contact all (both senators of your state and local congressperson). It has no negative bearing on your case. I would also suggest
that you contact the ombudsman. You never know whats going to click in the end.

Yes, one has to do everything. It helps solve the issue from all directions. It helps educate law makers about issues, also allows Ombudsman's office to understand common issues.
On another note, if anyone is having issues with their petitions and need help, you can also contact IV, send a message or post it on the forum.
Post issues on various forums on the internet too helps

I guess in that case there would be a conference between house and senate,and the conferees will be decided by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi,they would sort out the differences in the bill and then would send it back to house and senate for a vote.

Why do you think it is good news? Same Senators will be there in the Senate. Do you think they will accept skil? Not only skil any major immigration bill like AGRI, DREAM act will be stalled till next election.
It seems all immigration bill are dead till nov. 2008. I donot see any bill will pass in this Senate.

Hi,
I had filed for my wife's and my I-485 in July and have since received our EAD's and AP's (I believe in Sept). However, we've still not received our Fingerprinting notice. I had opened a Service Request with USCIS and they responded that its possible that they are probably busy and I should be getting a notice soon. But I just want to check if there are anybody else out there who filed in July and are still waiting for their FP notices.
Please note that I live in Dallas,TX and my case is with TSC.
